The qualifying competition for the 2019 CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship will determine five of the eight teams of 2019 CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship final tournament.
A total of 25 CONCACAF teams (out of 41) entered Olympic qualifying, with 22 involved in regional qualifiers for the final tournament. The entrants are divided into three zones:
The Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football is one of FIFA's 6 continental governing bodies for association football. Its 41 members include nations and territories in North America, including Central America and the Caribbean. Three geographically South American entities are also members — Guyana, Suriname, and the French overseas department of French Guiana and Martinique. CONCACAF's primary functions are to organize competitions for national teams and clubs, and to conduct World Cup and Women's World Cup qualifying tournaments.
The North American Football Union (NAFU) is a regional grouping under CONCACAF of national football organizations in the North American Zone. The NAFU has no organizational structure. The statutes say "CONCACAF shall recognize ... The North American Football Union (NAFU)". The NAFU provide one of CONCACAF's representatives to the FIFA Executive Committee.
The Canada men's national under-23 soccer team or the Canada Olympic soccer team represents Canada in international soccer at this age level and is controlled by the Canadian Soccer Association, the governing body for soccer in Canada.
The Mexico national under-23 football team represents Mexico in international football competitions such as the Olympic Games, Pan American Games, the Toulon Tournament, and their respective qualification phases. The selection is limited to players under the age of 23, except for the Olympic Games which allows the men's team up to three overage players. The team is controlled by the Mexican Football Federation (FMF), the governing body of football in Mexico.

The draw for the Caribbean preliminary round took place on 17 April 2019, 11:00 EDT (UTC−4), at the CONCACAF Headquarters in Miami. [1] [2] The 16 teams which entered the Caribbean preliminary round were drawn into four groups of four teams. Based on the FIFA World Ranking (as of 4 April 2019), [3] the 16 teams were distributed into four pots, with teams in Pot 1 assigned to each group prior to the draw, as follows: [4]

The qualifying competition for the 2010 Caribbean Championship was a football tournament held from 2 October to 14 November 2010 to determine the qualifying teams for the 2010 Caribbean Championship. 21 teams entered the qualifying competition, with six teams qualifying for the final tournament. The tournament was played over two rounds. In the first round, the 15 lowest ranked teams competed in three groups of four and one group of three in a round-robin. The winners of the four groups and the two best runners-up of the three groups of four advanced to the second round. In the second round, the six qualifying teams from the first round joined the second through seventh highest ranked teams from the 2008 Caribbean Championship to compete in three groups of four in a round-robin. The two best teams from each group advanced to join Martinique and Jamaica in the final tournament.
