It was Federer's third Miami Open title, 26th Masters 1000 singles title and 91st singles title overall. He saved two match points in the quarterfinals against Tomáš Berdych. This marked the third time Federer won the Sunshine Double, previously accomplishing the feat in 2005 and 2006. It was Nadal's fifth runner-up finish without winning the title.

It was his record-extending 10th Italian Open title and record-equaling 36th Masters 1000 title overall. Nadal saved two match points in his third round match against Denis Shapovalov en route to the title. This was also the fourth time that Nadal had won a tournament on 10 or more occasions, making him the only tennis player with the feat.

Gaël Monfils defeated Karen Khachanov in the final, 6–4, 6–4, to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2022 Adelaide International 1.
Sebastián Báez defeated Frances Tiafoe in the final, 6–3, 6–2 to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Estoril Open. It was his maiden ATP Tour title.
