The 2019 Valentin Granatkin Memorial Cup is its 19th edition after dissolution of the USSR. [1] The tournament was held at Saint Petersburg, Russia from 4 to 14 June 2019, being organised by Russian Football Union. [2] [3]

Participating nations

Total of 12 National U-18 teams from three different confederations namely AFC, CONMEBOL and UEFA, participated in this edition of the tournament. [4] [5] [6] The teams are further divided in three different groups, where Group A have Bulgaria, India, Moldova and host Russia, Group B have Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Greece and Group C have Argentina, Iran, Armenia and second team of host Russia as Russia 2. Group stage

The participants will play each other in each group and the winners of each group and the best of the teams finished second in each group will play for the semifinals. The remaining teams will play for 5–8 places. [5]

2006 FIFA U-20 Womens World Championship International football competition

The 2006 FIFA U-20 Women's World Championship was held in Russia from 17 August to 3 September 2006. It was the officially recognized world championship for women's under-20 national association football teams. Matches were held in four Moscow stadiums and one in Saint Petersburg.

In Group E of the UEFA Euro 2008 qualifying tournament, Croatia secured qualification to the finals on 17 November 2007 following Israel's 2–1 win against Russia, becoming the seventh team in the whole of the qualification stage to do so. The 2018 FIFA World Cup was an international football tournament contested by men's national teams that took place between 14 June and 15 July 2018 in Russia. It was the 21st FIFA World Cup, a worldwide football tournament held once every four years. It was the eleventh time the championships had been held in Europe, and the first time they were held in Eastern Europe. At an estimated cost of over $14.2 billion, it was the most expensive World Cup to date.

The knockout stage of the 2007–08 UEFA Cup began on 13 February 2008. It was completed on 14 May 2008 with the final at the City of Manchester Stadium, Manchester.
