Elina Svitolina defeated Caroline Wozniacki in the final, 6–4, 6–0 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2017 Canadian Open. It was her third consecutive Premier 5 title, making her the first woman to win the first three Premier 5 tournaments in a season, as well as the first to win three consecutive Premier 5 tournaments since Wozniacki won Montreal and Tokyo in 2010 and Dubai in 2011. This was also Wozniacki's sixth consecutive loss in a final in 2017, making her the first to lose that many finals in a row in one season, as well as the first woman to lose six finals in a single season since Maria Sharapova in 2012.
Garbiñe Muguruza defeated Simona Halep in the final, 6–1, 6–0 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2017 Cincinnati Masters. By losing in the final, Halep failed to take advantage of her third opportunity in 2017 to take over the WTA No. 1 singles ranking when the top ranking was only one match win away.
Sloane Stephens defeated Jeļena Ostapenko in the final, 7–6(7–5), 6–1 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2018 Miami Open. It was Stephens' sixth career singles title, first Premier Mandatory title, and first title since winning the US Open in September 2017. By virtue of her victory, Stephens also made her debut in the Top 10, at No. 9.
Defending champion Elina Svitolina defeated Simona Halep in a rematch of the previous year's final, 6–0, 6–4 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2018 Italian Open.

The 2019 Nottingham Open was a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor grass courts. It was the 12th edition of the event for women and the 24th edition for men. It is classified as a WTA International tournament on the 2019 WTA Tour for the women, and as an ATP Challenger Tour event for the men. The event took place at the Nottingham Tennis Centre in Nottingham, United Kingdom from 10 through 16 June 2019.
Sofia Kenin defeated Garbiñe Muguruza in the final, 4–6, 6–2, 6–2 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2020 Australian Open. It was her first major title. Kenin was the youngest Australian Open finalist since Ana Ivanovic and the youngest champion since Maria Sharapova, both in 2008. This was the first Australian Open final in the Open Era to be contested between two players ranked outside the top ten, and the first such major final since the 2018 US Open. Kenin entered the top 10 in rankings for the first time by winning the title.
Karolína Plíšková was the defending champion and successfully defended her title, defeating Madison Keys in the final, 6–4, 4–6, 7–5. Plíšková won the title after saving a match point Naomi Osaka had against her in the semifinals.
Kiki Bertens was the defending champion and successfully defended her title, defeating Elena Rybakina in the final, 6–1, 6–3. This would be Bertens' final WTA Tour singles title before her retirement in July 2021.

Ashleigh Barty was the defending champion, but she lost in the second round to Danielle Collins, in a rematch of the previous year's semifinal.
Defending champion Ashleigh Barty won the women's singles tennis title at the 2021 Miami Open after Bianca Andreescu retired from the final with the scoreline at 6–3, 4–0. Barty saved a match point en route to the title, in the second round against Kristína Kučová.
Aryna Sabalenka defeated Ashleigh Barty in the final, 6–0, 3–6, 6–4 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2021 Madrid Open. It was her 10th career WTA Tour singles title, and her first on clay.
Johanna Konta defeated Zhang Shuai in the final, 6–2, 6–1 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2021 Nottingham Open. The win earned Konta her fourth career singles title, her first since 2017, and made her the first British player to win a WTA Tour singles title on home soil since Sue Barker in 1981. This would also be Konta's final title before she announced her retirement in December 2021 due to a long-term knee injury.
Ashleigh Barty defeated Jil Teichmann in the final, 6–3, 6–1 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2021 Cincinnati Masters. Barty did not drop a set en route to her first Cincinnati Masters title. It was her fifth and last title of the season, her third WTA 1000 title, and her 13th career WTA Tour singles title.

Iga Świątek defeated Maria Sakkari in the final, 6–4, 6–1 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2022 Indian Wells Masters. She became the first Pole to win the title.
Iga Świątek defeated Naomi Osaka in the final, 6–4, 6–0 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2022 Miami Open. She became the fourth woman in history to complete the Sunshine Double in singles, having won Indian Wells two weeks earlier. It was Świątek's first Miami Open title, her third consecutive WTA 1000 title, and her fourth WTA 1000-level title overall. Świątek became the first woman in history to win the first three WTA 1000 titles of the year in succession, the first player since Serena Williams in 2013 to win three consecutive WTA 1000 titles, and extended her winning streak to 17 matches. She lost no sets and just 26 games en route to the title, the fewest since Martina Hingis dropped 21 games in 2000; she was the first player to win the title in Miami without dropping a set since Azarenka in 2016. Additionally, Świątek won Miami exactly 10 years after fellow Polish tennis player Agnieszka Radwańska won the tournament in 2012.
Petra Kvitová defeated Elena Rybakina in the final, 7–6(16–14), 6–2 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2023 Miami Open. It was Kvitová's first WTA 1000 title since the 2018 Madrid Open, and her 30th career title overall; she also became the first Czech player to win the title. Rybakina was attempting to complete the Sunshine Double, having already won the title at Indian Wells.
Iga Świątek defeated Liudmila Samsonova in the final, 6–2, 6–2 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2023 China Open. It was her sixth career WTA 1000 title.
