The Syracuse Orange women represented Syracuse University in CHA women's ice hockey during the 2019-20 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. After a disappointing start of the season against nationally ranked teams, Syracuse had a very successful second half, finishing a competitive third place in the conference, five points from first place Mercyhurst University.

Junior Jessica DiGirolamo wasnamed to Hockey Canada's National Women's Development Team for the August, 2019 series against the United States at Lake Placid, New York.^[2]

Awards and honors

Sophomore Forward Abby Moloughney was named the Individual Sportsman of the year in the CHA Conference, with no penalties in conference play. She was also named to the CHA All-Conference First Team^[5] Senior Defender and Captain Lindsay Eastwood was also named to the first team, as well as the CHA Best Defenseman. Senior Savannah Rennie was named to the CHA All-Conference Second team on the strength of six multi-point games.

Defender Mae Batherson was named the CHA Rookie of the year. She joined Forward Madison Beishuizen on the Conference All-Rookie Team.

Following the CHA Tournament, Junior Forward Victoria Klimek was named to the All-Tournament team.^[6] Klimek had a hat trick in the 4–0 victory against Lindenwood, and had an assist in the season ending loss to Robert Morris.

Assisting Sisti are Paul Colontino and Louis Goulet. Mike Folga was the Head Equipment Manager. The Lakers will attempt to qualify for the NCAA Women's Frozen Four for the second consecutive season. Syracuse Orange women's ice hockey is a college ice hockey program that has represented Syracuse University in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I and College Hockey America (CHA) since the 2008–09 season. Syracuse plays its home games at Tennity Ice Skating Pavilion in Syracuse, New York.

The 2010–11 Syracuse Orange season was their third season. The Orange competed in the College Hockey America conference and were unable to win the NCAA Championship. The Orange were the host club for the 2011 CHA Tournament and appeared in the CHA championship game losing to Mercyhurst by a 5–4 score.

The RIT Tigers women's ice hockey team is one of two hockey teams representing Rochester Institute of Technology in suburban Rochester, New York. The team moved to NCAA Division I women's ice hockey as a member of College Hockey America after many years at Division III as part of the ECAC West conference. The Bruce B. Shiann Darkangelo is an American ice hockey player who currently plays with the Toronto Six of the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF). She has played at the international level with Team USA and won gold at the 2016 IIHF Women's World Championship with the team. At the NCAA Division I level, she accumulated 42 points with the Syracuse Orange women's ice hockey program during the 2011–12 and 2012–13 seasons and registered 60 points with the Quinnipiac Bobcats women's ice hockey program during the 2013–14 and 2014–15 seasons.

The 2020–21 Penn State Nittany Lions women's Hockey Team represented Penn State University in CHA women's ice hockey during the 2019-20 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The season was Jeff Kampersall's third as head coach, and the team has established itself as a competitive program under his tutelage. The Nittany Lions were challenged by the season ending injury to goaltender, Jenna Brenneman, during the first weekend of play. Brenneman had the eighth best Goals Asainst Average in the nation in 2018–19. In her absence, junior Chantal Burke emerged as one of the nation's best netminders, assisted by a strong corps of defenders, including freshman Mallory Uihlein, a promising player for Team USA.

Lindsay Eastwood is a Canadian ice hockey defender, currently playing for the Toronto Six in the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF). The Syracuse Orange all-time leader in goals scored among defenders, she scored the first goal in Six history.

The Robert Morris Colonials women represent Robert Morris University in CHA women's ice hockey during the 2020-21 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season, the 16th overall in program history. Qualifying for the 2021 NCAA National Collegiate Women's Ice Hockey Tournament, the program ranked as the #8 seed.
