The 22nd Polish Film Awards took place on 2 March 2020 at the Polish Theatre in Warsaw, Poland. The ceremony honored the best in Polish cinema of 2019, presented by the Polish Film Academy. The ceremony was hosted by comedian Maciej Stuhr. [1]
Corpus Christi won eleven awards at the ceremony, including Best Film. [2] Other winners included Icarus: The Legend of Mietek Kosz and Mister T. with two awards each, and The Coldest Game , The Favourite , Sword of God, Tell No One , and Wataha with one.

Andrzej Teodor Seweryn is a Polish actor and director. One of the most successful Polish theatre actors, he starred in over 50 films, mostly in Poland, France, and Germany. He is also one of only three non-French actors to have been hired by the Paris-based Comédie-Française.
Jerzy Oskar Stuhr is a Polish film and theatre actor. He is one of the most popular, influential and versatile Polish actors. He also works as a screenwriter, film director and drama professor. He served as the Rector of the Ludwik Solski Academy for the Dramatic Arts in Kraków for two terms: from 1990 to 1996 and again from 2002 to 2008.
Polish Film Award, or Eagle is the national film award of Poland. It has been delivered annually since 1999, with the first event held on 21 June, by the National Chamber of Audiovisual Producers (KIPA). Since 2003 they have been awarded by the Polish Film Academy.
Maciej Jerzy Stuhr is a Polish actor, comedian and occasional film director.
Maciej Zielinski is the award-winning Polish composer, arranger and music producer, known for his contemporary classical and film scores, songs and original television music. His contemporary classical music has been awarded at 8 composers’ contests, including two international competitions and it was performed at many international festivals, including the Warsaw Autumn Festival and ISCM World Music Days. He has written scores for popular Polish movies and for independent US productions. In 2019 he received "Best Score" award at the "New Filmmakers LA Awards" in Los Angeles and nomination for "Crystal Pine Award" at the International Sound and Film Music Festival in Croatia. In 2016, 2017, and 2020 he received nominations for the Polish Film Academy Award - "Eagle" in "Best Music" category. In 2012 he was nominated for "Fryderyk" – the Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry in the category "Composer of the Year". His music has been released on nearly 30 albums.
Agata Kulesza is a Polish actress who has appeared on film, television, and stage. She has won four Polish Film Awards; three for her leading roles in the films Rose (2011), Ida (2013), and 25 lat niewinności. Sprawa Tomka Komendy (2020); and for her supporting role in I'm a Killer (2016).
Aftermath is a 2012 Polish film written and directed by Władysław Pasikowski. The fictional Holocaust-related thriller and drama is inspired by the July 1941 Jedwabne pogrom in occupied north-eastern Poland during Operation Barbarossa, in which 340 Polish Jews were locked in a barn in Jedwabne, which was later set on fire by a group of Polish men.

The Teacher is a Polish television crime drama series starring Maciej Stuhr as a high school teacher investigating criminal cases. Broadcast in 2016, the first season was a rating success for Canal + as it broke their all-time record and won 2 awards, including Best TV Series at the Polish Film Awards. A second season premiered in October 2017.
The Zbigniew Cybulski Award is a Polish annual film award given to best young Polish actors. It was established in 1969 on the initiative of Wiesława Czapińska and named to commemorate Zbigniew Cybulski who is widely considered one of the greatest Polish actors of the second half of the 20th century. It is among the most prominent awards in Polish cinema and the past winners include some of the most popular and critically acclaimed Polish actors. It was continuously awarded by the film magazine Ekran from 1969 to 1995 and after a ten-year hiatus it was reactivated in 2005 by the Kino Foundation. In 2008, the foundation published a book Być jak Cybulski?, which is devoted to all the past recipients of the award.

The Hater is a 2020 Polish social thriller film directed by Jan Komasa and written by Mateusz Pacewicz. The plot centres around an expelled university student from Warsaw who attempts to steer the internet, causing widespread hatred and violence. It premiered on 6 March 2020 in Poland and went on to win the Best International Narrative Feature Award at Tribeca Film Festival.
Kill It and Leave This Town is a 2020 Polish adult animated psychological horror film directed by Polish animator Mariusz Wilczyński, in his feature film debut, from a script developed alongside Agnieszka Ścibior. The film concerns a hero, fleeing from despair after losing those dearest to him, who hides in a safe land of memories, where time stands still and all those dear to him are alive.
