The 22nd Polish Film Awards took place on 2 March 2020 at the Polish Theatre in Warsaw, Poland. The ceremony honored the best in Polish cinema of 2019, presented by the Polish Film Academy. The ceremony was hosted by comedian Maciej Stuhr. [1]
Corpus Christi won eleven awards at the ceremony, including Best Film. [2] Other winners included Icarus: The Legend of Mietek Kosz and Mister T. with two awards each, and The Coldest Game , The Favourite , Sword of God, Tell No One , and Wataha with one.
The nominations were announced on 5 February 2020. [3] Winners are listed first, highlighted in boldface, and indicated with a double dagger (‡).

Jerzy Oskar Stuhr was a Polish film and theatre actor. He was one of the most popular, influential and versatile Polish actors. He also worked as a screenwriter, film director and drama professor. He served as the Rector of the Ludwik Solski Academy for the Dramatic Arts in Kraków for two terms: from 1990 to 1996 and again from 2002 to 2008.
Polish Film Award, or Eagle is the national film award of Poland. It has been delivered annually since 1999, with the first event held on 21 June, by the National Chamber of Audiovisual Producers (KIPA). Since 2003 they have been awarded by the Polish Film Academy.
The Polish Academy Award for Best Film Director is an annual award given to the best Polish film director of the year.

Maciej Zielinski is the award-winning Polish composer, arranger and music producer, known for his contemporary classical and film scores, songs and original television music. His contemporary classical music has been awarded at 8 composers’ contests, including two international competitions and it was performed at many international festivals, including the Warsaw Autumn Festival and ISCM World Music Days. He has written scores for popular Polish movies and for independent US productions. In 2019 he received "Best Score" award at the "New Filmmakers LA Awards" in Los Angeles and nomination for "Crystal Pine Award" at the International Sound and Film Music Festival in Croatia. In 2016, 2017, and 2020 he received nominations for the Polish Film Academy Award - "Eagle" in "Best Music" category. In 2012 he was nominated for "Fryderyk" – the Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry in the category "Composer of the Year". His music has been released on nearly 30 albums.
Agata Kulesza is a Polish actress who has appeared on film, television, and stage. She made her film debut playing the leading role in the 1993 comedy-drama Czlowiek z... and later appeared in films Poznań '56 (1996), The Spring to Come (2001), Moje pieczone kurczaki (2002), Expecting Love (2008) and Suicide Room (2011), for which she received Złota Kaczka Award for Best Actress.
Aftermath is a 2012 Polish film written and directed by Władysław Pasikowski. The fictional Holocaust-related thriller and drama is inspired by the July 1941 Jedwabne pogrom in occupied north-eastern Poland during Operation Barbarossa, in which 340 Polish Jews were locked in a barn in Jedwabne, which was later set on fire by a group of Polish men.

In the Rearview is a 2023 documentary feature film directed by Maciek Hamela. It is about a van, that traverses the roads of Ukraine with the driver-director and evacuated people, following the Russian invasion. The vehicle becomes a fragile and temporary refuge of exiles whose only objective is to escape the war. It is a co-production between Poland, France and Ukraine.

Kill It and Leave This Town is a 2020 Polish adult animated psychological horror film directed by Polish animator Mariusz Wilczyński, in his feature film debut, from a script developed alongside Agnieszka Ścibior. The film concerns a hero, fleeing from despair after losing those dearest to him, who hides in a safe land of memories, where time stands still and all those dear to him are alive.

The film follows the lives of three different women: the middle-aged prosecutor Dorota, the young student Magda and a distinguished surgeon, Teresa, and their struggling with alcohol addiction.
