The 2020 Tata Open Maharashtra was a 2020 ATP Tour tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 25th edition of the only ATP tournament played in India and took place in Pune, India, from 3 February through 9 February 2020. Unseeded Jiří Veselý won the singles title.

Prajnesh Gunneswaran was the defending champion but lost in the third round to Benjamin Bonzi.

The tournament was played on a hard surface. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and many ATP tournaments having been cancelled, this year's event was upgraded to ATP 500 level.

Ugo Humbert defeated Andrey Rublev in the final 6–3, 7–6(7–4), to win the singles tennis title at the 2021 Halle Open. Humbert's win earned him his third career ATP Tour singles title and his first ATP 500 victory, and also made him the first French player to win the tournament since Henri Leconte won the inaugural edition in 1993. Both Humbert and Rublev were contesting their first career final on grass.

Andrey Rublev was the reigning champion from when the tournament was last held in 2019, but lost to Adrian Mannarino in the second round in a rematch of the 2019 final.

Andrey Rublev defeated Jiří Veselý in the final, 6–3, 6–4 to win the men's singles title at the 2022 Dubai Tennis Championships. It was Rublev's tenth career singles title. Veselý entered the tournament ranked as the world No. 123, and was the lowest-ranked finalist in the tournament's history.
