Iga Natalia Świątek is a Polish professional tennis player. She is currently ranked world No. 1 by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), and is the youngest player ranked in the top ten. Świątek was the champion at the 2020 French Open and is the first Pole to win a Grand Slam singles title. Barbora Krejčíková defeated Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the final, 6–1, 2–6, 6–4 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2021 French Open. It was her first Major singles title, and her sixth Major title overall. Krejčíková saved a match point in her semifinal match against Maria Sakkari, making her the first player since Justine Henin in 2005 and the third woman in the Open Era to win the French Open after saving a match point.
