Gimpo FC, formerly Gimpo Citizen FC, is a South Korean professional football club based in the city of Gimpo. Since 2022, they are playing in the K League 2, the second tier of football in South Korea.

The 2021 K4 League is the second season of the K4 League as a semi-professional league and the fourth tier of South Korean football league system. Paju Citizen are the defending champions and was promoted together with Ulsan Citizen to 2021 K3 League. Chuncheon Citizen and Jeonju Citizen were relegated from 2020 K3 League and will play in the K4 League for the first time. Icheon Citizen have disbanded due to financial problems and haven't registered for the league, while Yeoju Citizen has submitted a new entry in the competition after first announcing their disbandment.

The 2021 Korean FA Cup, known as the 2021 Hana Bank FA Cup due to sponsorship agreement with Hana Bank, was the 26th edition of the Korean FA Cup. Similar to the previous year, U-League teams did not participate, and the top ten sides from the K5 League gained qualification instead.

The 2022 K League 2 was the tenth season of the K League 2, the second-tier South Korean professional football league. The champions and the winners of the promotion play-offs could be promoted to the K League 1.

The 2022 K4 League was the third season of the K4 League as a semi-professional league and the fourth tier of South Korean football league system. Pocheon Citizen were the defending champions and promoted together with Siheung Citizen and Dangjin Citizen to 2022 K3 League. Pyeongtaek Citizen were relegated from 2021 K3 League and played in the K4 League for the first time.

The 2022 K3 League was the third season of the K3 League as a semi-professional league and the third tier of South Korean football league system. The regular season was from 26 February to 29 October 2022. Gimpo FC, the defending champions, were unable to defend their title, as they have been promoted to the 2022 K League 2.

The 2023 K League 2, also known as the Hana 1Q K League 2 for sponsorship reasons, was the 11th season of the K League 2, the second-highest division in South Korean football league system. It had 39 matchdays and teams played each other three times.

The regular season was from 25 February to 11 November 2023. Goyang KH FC was the defending champion but already dissolved. Promoted were Yangpyeong FC and Chuncheon Citizen to 2023 K3 League. Dangjin Citizen were relegated from 2022 K3 League via K3-K4 League relegation play-off and played in the K4 League after one season.

The 2023 K3 League was the third season of the K3 League as a semi-professional league and the third tier of South Korean football league system. The regular season was from 11 March to 11 November 2023. Changwon City FC were the defending champions.

The 2023 Korean FA Cup, known as the 2023 Hana 1Q FA Cup due to sponsorship agreement with Hana Bank, was the 28th edition of the Korean FA Cup. The winners qualified for the 2024–25 AFC Champions League Elite.
