The 2021 season for the Team BikeExchange team was the team's 10th season in existence, all of which have been as a UCI WorldTeam. [3]
Ahead of the season, Scott Sports, one of the co-title sponsors from the previous season, was dropped as the team switched to Bianchi Bicycles, though Bianchi did not become a title sponsor. [1] Additionally, Mitchelton Wines, a brand owned by team owner Gerry Ryan, was also dropped from co-title sponsor after three years. It was replaced by Australian cycling retailer BikeExchange, another Ryan brand which had previously been co-title sponsor for the 2016 season and which became the sole title sponsor. [4]

Tanel Kangert is an Estonian former road bicycle racer, who competed as a professional from 2008 to 2022.
F.I.V. Edoardo Bianchi S.p.A., commonly known as Bianchi is the world's oldest bicycle manufacturing company in existence, having pioneered the use of equal-sized wheels with pneumatic rubber tires. The company was founded in Italy in 1885 and in addition to bicycles it produced motorcycles from 1897 to 1967. In 1955 the joint-venture Autobianchi was created together with Fiat and Pirelli for the manufacturing of cars – Autobianchi was subsequently sold to Fiat in 1969.
Samuel Ryan Bewley is an amateur podcast host and former professional racing cyclist from New Zealand who last rode for UCI WorldTeam Team BikeExchange–Jayco. He also competed for UCI ProTeam Team RadioShack and BikeNZ PureBlack Racing. He competed in nine Grand Tours, including five starts at the Vuelta a España and three starts at the Giro d'Italia. Bewley made his sole Tour de France appearance in the 2020 edition, before retiring from professional cycling at the end of 2022.

Team Jayco–AlUla is an Australian professional road race cycling team. Launched in January 2011, it competes at UCI WorldTeam level. The team was formed under the management of Andrew Ryan and Shayne Bannan, with Neil Stephens and Matt White as Sporting Directors. The team rides Giant bicycles, and wear Giordana Cycling clothing and Scott eyewear. The team has financial backing from Australian businessman Gerry Ryan who owns Jayco.
Simon Philip Yates is a British professional road and track racing cyclist who rides for UCI WorldTeam Team Jayco–AlUla. His twin brother is Adam Yates, who is also a professional cyclist. He won the gold medal in the points race at the 2013 Track Cycling World Championships. Following a doping ban in 2016, he won the young rider classification in the 2017 Tour de France and the general classification in the 2018 Vuelta a España. Yates has taken more than thirty professional victories, including ten Grand Tour stage victories – six at the Giro d'Italia and two each at the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España.
Adam Richard Yates is a British professional road and track racing cyclist who rides for UCI WorldTeam UAE Team Emirates. Yates placed fourth overall at the 2016 Tour de France and became the first British rider to win the young rider classification, one year ahead of his twin brother Simon Yates.

The 2021 season for the EF Education–Nippo team was its thirteen season as a UCI WorldTeam and its nineteenth overall. For this season, Japanese construction company Nippo Corporation, which had sponsored French UCI ProTeam Nippo–Delko–One Provence last season, joined the team as a co-title sponsor, as did several of the French team's riders.
The 2021 season for Team Qhubeka NextHash was its sixth season as a UCI WorldTeam and its 15th overall. After last year's title sponsor, Japanese telecommunications company NTT, decided not to renew their contract with the team, South African bicycle charity organization Qhubeka, a former title sponsor, and Swiss clothing brand Assos stepped up to sponsor the team for two seasons. However, before the new sponsors were announced, the sponsorship crisis led to many riders seeking contracts with teams elsewhere, resulting in the departure of 19 of the 29 riders on the team last season.
