The 2001 Nokia Brier, Canada's national men's curling championship, was held March 3–11 at the Ottawa Civic Centre in Ottawa, Ontario. It was the very first Brier to be sponsored by Nokia. The theme of the event was the 2001: A Space Odyssey. In the finals, Team Alberta, consisting of skip Randy Ferbey, fourth David Nedohin, second Scott Pfeifer and lead Marcel Rocque would capture their first of four Brier wins as a team. They edged out Team Manitoba skipped by Kerry Burtnyk in the final, 8–4. While the Brier was not unsuccessful, it did end up losing money. The total attendance was 154,136.
The 2011 Dominion Curling Club Championship was held from November 21 to 26 at the Richmond Curling Club in Richmond, British Columbia. The third edition of the Dominion Curling Club Championship featured men's and women's teams from clubs all across Canada.

The 2020 Scotties BC Women's Curling Championship, the provincial women's curling championship for British Columbia, was held from January 28 – February 2 at Western Financial Place in Cranbrook, British Columbia. The winning Corryn Brown rink represented British Columbia at the 2020 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and finished with a 5–6 record. The event was held in conjunction with the 2020 BC Men's Curling Championship, the provincial men's championship.
The 2021 Euro Super Series was a curling event among various countries of Europe. It was held from 31 August to 5 September at the National Curling Academy in Stirling, Scotland. It was the first international competition hosted by the club, which serves as the home club for the top British curlers. The total purse for the event was £6,000 on both the men's and women's sides.
The 2021 United States Olympic Curling Trials was held from November 12 to 21, 2021 at the Baxter Arena in Omaha, Nebraska. The trials featured six men's teams and six women's teams who played in a double round robin tournament. After the round robin, the top two teams on each side played a best-of-three playoff to determine the winner. The winner of both the men's and women's events will represent the United States at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China.

The winning Mary-Anne Arsenault team represented British Columbia at the 2022 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Thunder Bay, Ontario, and finished with a 3–5 record. The event was held in conjunction with the 2022 BC Men's Curling Championship, the provincial men's curling championship.
