The 2022 World Junior-B Curling Championships was being held from January 3 to 14 at the Kisakallio Sports Institute in Lohja, Finland. [1] The top three men's and women's teams were to qualify for the 2022 World Junior Curling Championships. [2]
On January 4, the Hungarian men's team (Lőrinc Tatár, Ottó Kalocsay, Raul Kárász and Milan Tüske) had to withdraw from the competition due to a positive COVID-19 case within the team. [3] The following day, members of Teams Chinese Taipei, Spain and Slovenia all confirmed positive cases within their teams. [4] [5] On January 6, World Curling Federation cancelled the event due to the outbreak of cases. [6]

The 2012 World Junior Curling Championships was held from March 3 to 11 at the Z-Hallen in Östersund, Sweden. Östersund previously hosted the World Junior Curling Championships in 1999 and in 2008.
The 2013 World Junior Curling Championships were held from February 28 to March 10 at the Ice Cube Curling Center in Sochi, Russia. Sochi is also scheduled to host the curling tournament at the 2014 Winter Olympics.

The 2015 Pacific-Asia Junior Curling Championships were held from January 19 to 24 in Naseby, New Zealand. The two South Korean teams, top finishers of each tournament, advanced to the 2015 World Junior Curling Championships in Tallinn, Estonia.

The 2021 World Men's Curling Championship was held from April 2 to 11 at the Markin MacPhail Centre at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Canada. The event was originally to be held in Ottawa, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the championship was moved to Calgary. The event was held in a bio-secure bubble at Canada Olympic Park, which also hosted all major Curling Canada championships leading up to the Worlds. All events were held behind closed doors with no spectators.
The 2021 European Curling Championships were held in September and November 2021, to qualify European curling teams for the 2022 World Curling Championships and World Qualification Event. The 2022 World Qualification Event for the World Curling Championships was held from January 18 to 22 at the Kisakallio Sports Institute in Lohja, Finland. The competition originally consisted of sixteen teams divided evenly into men's and women's divisions. The Brazilian Men's Team and the Kazakh Women's Team were removed from the competition schedule days before the tournament due to travel complications, leaving the competition with fourteen teams divided evenly into each division. The top two teams in the men's division qualified to compete at the 2022 World Men's Championship and similarly the top two teams in the women's division qualified to compete at the 2022 World Women's Championship.
The 2022 World Junior Curling Championships were held from May 15 to 22 at the Jönköping Curling Club in Jönköping, Sweden. The event was originally scheduled to be held March 5 to 12, however, was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Sweden. It was the final World Curling Federation event held during the 2021–22 curling season.
The 2022 World Senior Curling Championships was held from April 23 to 30 at the Curling Club Trois-Chêne in the Geneva Sous-Moulin Sports Center in Thônex, a suburb of Geneva, Switzerland. The event was held alongside the 2022 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship.
The inaugural Pan Continental Curling Championships were held from October 31 to November 6 at the Markin MacPhail Centre at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Alberta. The event was used to qualify teams for the 2023 World Curling Championships. The event featured both an A Division and a B Division for both the men's and women's. This new championship combined the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships and the Americas Challenge into one event.
The 2022 Le Gruyère AOP European Curling Championships was held in May and November 2022, to qualify European curling teams for the 2023 World Curling Championships. The A and B division competitions were held from November 18 to 26 at the Östersund Arena in Östersund, Sweden. The C division competition was held from April 30 to May 5 at the Kaunas Ice Palace in Kaunas, Lithuania.
The 2022 World Mixed Curling Championship was held from 15 to 22 October in Aberdeen, Scotland. It was the first World Mixed Curling Championship held since 2019 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2022 World Junior-B Curling Championships were held from December 8 to 19 at the Kisakallio Sports Institute in Lohja, Finland. The top three men's and women's teams qualified for the 2023 World Junior Curling Championships.
The 2024 World Junior Curling Championships were held from February 17 to 24 at the Kisakallio Sports Institute in Lohja, Finland.
