The 2010 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was held in Chelyabinsk, Russia from April 18–24, 2010. The event was held in conjunction with the 2010 World Senior Curling Championships. Many of the teams faced delays or withdrew from the championship due to the air travel disruption after the 2010 Eyjafjallajökull eruption.
The women's tournament of the 2011 World Senior Curling Championships was held from April 15 to 24, 2011. Eleven women's teams played in a round-robin, and the top four teams will advance to the semifinals, where they played a single-knockout round to determine the winner.

The 2012 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was held at the Milli Piyango Curling Arena in Erzurum, Turkey from April 23 to 29. Erzurum previously hosted the 2011 Winter Universiade, during which the Milli Piyango Curling Arena was used for the curling competition. Among the previous hosts of the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships, Turkey is the nation with the least experience in curling; its curling federation joined the World Curling Federation in 2009. For the first time since 2009, the event was not held in conjunction with the same year's World Senior Championships.
The 2013 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was held from April 13 to 20 at the newly constructed Grant-Harvey Centre in Fredericton, New Brunswick. The event was held in conjunction with the 2013 World Senior Curling Championships. This event marked the first time that Canada has hosted a World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship since its inception in 2008.
The 2013 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Trials was held from March 14 to 17 at the Leduc Recreation Centre and the Leduc Curling Club in Leduc, Alberta. The winning team of the trials will represent Canada at the 2013 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. It is the first ever Canadian Mixed Doubles championship. Previously, two players from the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship winning team were selected to play at the World Mixed Doubles championship.
The 2014 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship were held from April 23 to 30 at the Dumfries Ice Bowl in Dumfries, Scotland. The event was held in conjunction with the 2014 World Senior Curling Championships.
The 2015 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was held from April 18 to 25 at the Ice Cube Curling Center in Sochi, Russia. The event will be held in conjunction with the 2015 World Senior Curling Championships.
The 2015 World Mixed Curling Championship was held from September 12 to 19 at the Curling Bahn Allmend in Bern, Switzerland.
The 2016 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was held from April 16 to 23 at the Karlstad Curling Arena in Karlstad, Sweden. The event was held in conjunction with the 2016 World Senior Curling Championships.
The 2016 World Mixed Curling Championship was held from October 14 to 22 at the Sport Palace in Kazan, Russia. Among the 37 participating nations, Andorra, Croatia, South Korea and the Netherlands debuted on this event, while China, Israel and Lithuania didn't participate this time.
The 2017 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was held from April 22 to 29 at the Lethbridge Curling Club in Lethbridge, Canada. The event was held in conjunction with the 2017 World Senior Curling Championships.
The 2018 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was held from April 21 to 28 at the Östersund Arena in Östersund, Sweden. The event was held in conjunction with the 2018 World Senior Curling Championships.
The 2019 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was held in Stavanger, Norway from April 20 to 27, 2019. The event was held in conjunction with the 2019 World Senior Curling Championships. A record forty-eight nations competed in the event, including Kosovo, Mexico, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, and Ukraine competing in their first World Curling Federation events.
The 2019 Le Gruyère AOP European Curling Championships was held in 2019 to qualify European curling teams for the 2020 World Curling Championships and World Qualification Event. The A and B division competitions were held from November 16 to 23 at The Olympia Rink in Helsingborg, Sweden. The C division competition was held from April 13 to 17 at the Brașov Olympic Ice Rink in Brașov, Romania.

The 2022 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was held from April 23 to 30 at the Curling Club Trois-Chêne in the Geneva Sous-Moulin Sports Center in Thônex, a suburb of Geneva, Switzerland. The event was held alongside the 2022 World Senior Curling Championships. Eve Muirhead and Bobby Lammie of Scotland went undefeated the entire event, beating home team Alina Pätz and Sven Michel of Switzerland 9-7 in the final to win the gold medal.
