The 2019 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was held in Stavanger, Norway from April 20 to 27, 2019. The event was held in conjunction with the 2019 World Senior Curling Championships. A record forty-eight nations competed in the event, including Kosovo, Mexico, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, and Ukraine competing in their first World Curling Federation events.

The 2021 Korean Mixed Doubles Curling Championship, Korea's national mixed doubles curling championships, was held July 27 to August 9, 2021 at the Jincheon National Training Centre in Jincheon, South Korea. The winning team will be the Korean National Mixed Doubles Team for the 2021–22 curling season. They will represent South Korea at the Olympic Qualification Event in hopes of reaching the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China and the 2021 World Mixed Doubles Qualification Event, attempting to reach the 2022 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. The championship was held in two rounds.
The 2022 United States Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was held from March 8 to 13, 2022 at Bob Suter's Capitol Ice Arena in Middleton, Wisconsin. The championship featured twenty-five teams that played in a triple knockout format, which qualified eight teams for the championship round. From there, four teams advanced to the four team page playoff round.

The event was held alongside the 2022 World Senior Curling Championships. Eve Muirhead and Bobby Lammie of Scotland went undefeated the entire event, beating home team Alina Pätz and Sven Michel of Switzerland 9-7 in the final to win the gold medal.

The event was held alongside the 2023 World Senior Curling Championships. Korey Dropkin and Cory Thiesse defeated Chiaki Matsumura and Yasumasa Tanida 8-2 in the final to win the gold medal.

The winning pair of Kadriana and Colton Lott represented Canada at the 2024 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Östersund, Sweden.
The 2024 Le Gruyère AOP European Curling Championships qualify European curling teams for the 2025 World Curling Championships. The A and B division competitions were held from November 16 to 23, with the A division being held at the Kisakallio Sport Institute in Lohja, Finland, and the B division being held at the Östersund Curling Club in Östersund, Sweden. The C division competition was held from April 28 to May 4 at the Dumfries Ice Bowl in Dumfries, Scotland.
The 2024 Korean Mixed Doubles Curling Championship, Korea's national mixed doubles curling championship, was held from July 20 to 28 at the Jincheon National Training Centre in Jincheon, South Korea. The winning pair of Kim Kyeong-ae and Seong Ji-hoon became the Korean National Team for the 2024–25 curling season. They will represent Korea at the 2025 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada and the 2025 Asian Winter Games in Harbin, China. Through regional qualifiers, the field was narrowed down from over fifty teams to twenty-one who competed in the national championship. The preliminary round was held in a round robin format which will qualify the top eight teams overall for the playoff round. For the first time in championship history, players from different regions were able to compete together, forming a composite team. Notable examples of this included Gangwon's Park Jong-duk competing in Seoul, Chuncheon's Yang Tae-i competing in Gyeongbuk and Gyeongbuk's Kim Chang-min competing in Gangwon, though he did not qualify for the national championship.
The 2025 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Olympic Trials were held from December 30, 2024, to January 4, 2025, at Queens Place Emera Centre in Liverpool, Nova Scotia. The winning team of Jocelyn Peterman and Brett Gallant will represent Canada at the 2025 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. They will also go on to represent Canada at the 2026 Winter Olympics, should Canada qualify.
The 2024 Everest Canadian Senior Curling Championships were held from December 1 to 7 at Curl Moncton in Moncton, New Brunswick.
The 2024 World Mixed Doubles Qualification Event was held from December 1 to 7, 2024 at the Dumfries Ice Bowl in Dumfries, Scotland. The top four placing teams qualified for the 2025 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. By qualifying for the World Championship, the four teams advancing from this event also secured, at a minimum, a spot in the 2025 Olympic Qualification Event.
