The 2025 Boston Pizza Cup , the provincial men's curling championship for Alberta, will be held from February 4 to 9 at the Stettler Recreation Centre in Stettler, Alberta. [1] The winning rink will represent Alberta at the 2025 Montana's Brier in Kelowna, British Columbia. [2]

The 2001 Nokia Brier, Canada's national men's curling championship, was held March 3–11 at the Ottawa Civic Centre in Ottawa, Ontario. It was the very first Brier to be sponsored by Nokia. The theme of the event was the 2001: A Space Odyssey. In the finals, Team Alberta, consisting of skip Randy Ferbey, fourth David Nedohin, second Scott Pfeifer and lead Marcel Rocque would capture their first of four Brier wins as a team. They edged out Team Manitoba skipped by Kerry Burtnyk in the final, 8–4. While the Brier was not unsuccessful, it did end up losing money. The total attendance was 154,136.

It marked the sixth time the Brier had been to Halifax, and the second time in eight years, having previously hosted the 2003 Nokia Brier.

The 2008 Boston Pizza Cup, the men's curling championships for Alberta, was held from February 12 to 17 at the Grant Fuhr Arena in Spruce Grove, Alberta. The Kevin Martin rink won the final over Randy Ferbey's team and represented Alberta at the 2008 Tim Hortons Brier, which they also won.

The winning Aaron Sluchinski rink represented Alberta at the 2024 Montana's Brier in Regina, Saskatchewan where they finished tied for fifth in Pool B with a 4–4 record.

The 2025 Montana's Brier, Canada's national men's curling championship, will be held from February 28 to March 9 at Prospera Place in Kelowna, British Columbia. The winning team will represent Canada at the 2025 World Men's Curling Championship at Mosaic Place in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
