The 2025 Men's Ontario Curling Championship, better known as the Ontario Tankard was held from January 19 to 26 at Cobourg Community Centre in Cobourg, Ontario. It serves as the provincial men's curling championship for Southern Ontario. The winning Sam Mooibroek rink will represent Ontario at the 2025 Montana's Brier, Canada's national men's curling championship in Kelowna, British Columbia. [1] The event was held in conjunction with the 2025 Ontario Women's Curling Championship, the provincial women's championship. Both events are held together in non-Winter Olympic years.

Contents

Cobourg was chosen as the host community in June 2024. It last hosted the Tankard in 2017. [2]

Qualification process

Twelve teams will qualify for the 2025 Ontario Tankard. The top eight southern Ontario teams on the Canada Team Ranking System as of December 16, 2024 qualified, as well as four teams from an open qualifier. [3]

The 2025 SaskTel Tankard, the provincial men's curling championship for Saskatchewan, was held from January 21 to 26 at the Kindersley West Central Events Centre in Kindersley, Saskatchewan. The winning Rylan Kleiter rink will represent Saskatchewan at the 2025 Montana's Brier in Kelowna, British Columbia. The event was held in conjunction with the 2025 Viterra Prairie Pinnacle, the provincial women's championship. This is the first time that both the men's and women's provincial championships have been held in conjunction.

The 2025 Newfoundland and Labrador Tankard, the men's provincial curling championship for Newfoundland and Labrador, was held from January 21 to 25 at the RE/MAX Centre in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. The winning Ty Dilello rink will represent Newfoundland and Labrador at the 2025 Montana's Brier in Kelowna, British Columbia. The event was held in conjunction with the 2025 Newfoundland and Labrador Women's Curling Championship, the provincial women's championship.

The 2025 New Brunswick Tankard, the provincial men's curling championship for New Brunswick, will be held from January 29 to February 2 at the Capital Winter Club in Fredericton, New Brunswick. The winning rink will represent New Brunswick at the 2025 Montana's Brier in Kelowna, British Columbia.
