Prayut served as Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army from 2010 to 2014 and led the 2014 Thai coup d'état which installed the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), the military junta which governed Thailand between 22 May 2014 and 10 July 2019.

He also previously served as the deputy chairman of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), a military junta which ruled Thailand from 2014 to 2019. From 2004 to 2005 he was the commander-in-chief of the Royal Thai Army (RTA).

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Gold Line (Bangkok)</span>

The Gold Line is an automated people mover line, part of Bangkok's rapid transit system. The line is 1.8 km (1.1 mi) long, consisting of 3 stations, and was opened by Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on 16 December 2020. It primarily serves as a feeder line between the BTS Silom line and Iconsiam shopping center. The line will be extended 1 km (0.62 mi) along Somdet Chao Phraya road to connect with the future MRT Purple Line southern extension. When completed, it will connect Krung Thon Buri BTS station with Prajadhipok Road in Thon Buri District for a total distance of 2.68 km (1.67 mi).

Bhichai Rattakul was a Thai politician who served as the Deputy Prime Minister from 1983 to 1990 and 1997 to 2000, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and President of the National Assembly. He was also leader of the Democrat Party between 1982 and 1990, and the World President of Rotary International from 2002 to 2004.

Phan Sakulnee, best known by the stage name Waiphot Phetsuphan, was a Thai luk thung and Phleng Lae singer and National Artist of Thailand in 1997. He is associated with "Queen of Luk thung", Pumpuang Duangjan, for whom he has written songs to Pumpuang including "Keaw Roe Phee" (แก้วรอพี่) and "Countryside Singer".

Cherprang Areekul is a member of the Thai idol girl group BNK48, an international sister group of the Japanese idol girl group AKB48. She is one of the first-generation members of the group, and is also the first and current captain of the group and the current manager of the group.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2023 Thai general election</span>

General elections were held in Thailand on 14 May 2023 to elect 500 members of the House of Representatives. The Move Forward Party, led by Pita Limjaroenrat, surprised analysts by winning the most seats, followed by fellow opposition party Pheu Thai who had won the most seats in the 2011 and 2019 elections. Turnout was a record 75.22%.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Second Prayut cabinet</span>

The Second Prayut cabinet, formally known as the 62nd Council of Ministers, was formed on 10 July 2019 after the March 2019 Thai general election. The coalition is led by Palang Pracharath Party which nominated Prayut Chan-o-cha, who was then serving as Prime Minister of Thailand through the National Council for Peace and Order, as its candidate for prime minister. Prayut was elected as prime minister on 5 June 2019 and received the appointment from the royal command on 9 June 2019.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Milli (rapper)</span> Thai female rapper

Danupha Khanatheerakul, better known by her stage name, Milli, is a Thai rapper and singer. She rose to prominence nationally with her debut single "Phak Kon" (พักก่อน), which was released in February 2020. It was followed by another successful single "Sud Pang" (สุดปัง) later that year. In April 2022, she performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, becoming the first Thai solo artist to perform there.

The year 2021 was the 240th year of the Rattanakosin Kingdom of Thailand. It was the sixth year in the reign of King Vajiralongkorn, and is reckoned as year 2564 in the Buddhist Era.
