China News Service is the second largest state news agency in China, after Xinhua News Agency. China News Service was formerly run by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, which was absorbed into the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in 2018. Its operations have traditionally been directed at overseas Chinese worldwide and residents of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

The Eight-point Regulation from the Central is a set of Chinese Communist Party regulations stipulated by the Politburo in 2012 aimed at instilling more discipline among party members and making the party "closer to the masses". They were first announced on 4 December 2012, after a Politburo meeting led by Xi Jinping, who then had recently became General Secretary of the CCP. Detailed implementing regulations were adopted by the Politburo in 2022.

Counter-Japanese Military and Political University, also commonly known as Kàngdà (抗大) and Kangri Junzheng University (抗日军政大学), was a comprehensive public university located in Yan'an, Shaanxi, the headquarters of the Chinese Communist Party during the Second Sino-Japanese War. Its former site has been converted to a memorial hall.

The Belt and Road News Network (BRNN), is a Beijing-based news media association announced by General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party Xi Jinping in May 2017 at the first Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. The network was officially launched in April 2019 and chaired by the People's Daily, the official newspaper of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. According to a 2020 report by Asia Society, the BRNN exists "to disseminate favorable content, host all-expenses-paid workshops, and serve as a centralized source of information on BRI. The network predictably frames the BRI and China in a positive light and has member media outlets in more than 26 countries."

The COVID-19 pandemic in Shanghai is a part of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The disease was first confirmed in Shanghai on 20 January 2020. As of 14 October 2022, 65,641 confirmed cases cumulatively occurred in the city, of which 3,045 cases were imported from abroad. Of the 96 active hospitalized cases ending at midnight, 94 were in stable condition and 1 was in critical condition; 61,600 had cumulatively recovered and been discharged, and 595 died.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Clear waters and green mountains</span> Political slogan

Clear waters and green mountains, alternatively green mountains are gold mountains or two mountain theory, refers to a political slogan on environmental policy formulated by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) general secretary Xi Jinping. The full slogan is "clear waters and green mountains are as valuable as gold and silver mountains".

In 2021, China continued to address the COVID-19 pandemic in China with a Zero-COVID policy that significantly reduced transmission of COVID-19 through large scale lockdowns and testing. The Convidecia and Sinopharm vaccines were approved for general use in China in February 2021. China achieved a record number of 55 space missions in 2021, including the development of the Tiangong space station and the first Chinese craft to land on Mars. Concerns about declining birth rates caused the national government to replace its two-child policy with a three-child policy in May 2021. In the Chinese zodiac, 2021 was the year of the Ox and associated with the Wuxing element of metal.

The 2022 China-Arab States Summit was the 1st summit of the heads of state and representatives of 21 countries of the Arab League, and the head of state of the People's Republic of China. It was held on 9 December 2022, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The Internet real-name system in China is a real-name system in which Internet service providers and Internet content providers in the People's Republic of China are required to collect users' real names, ID numbers, and other information when providing services. Since the implementation of the real-name system on the Internet may lead to the infringement and narrowing of the constitutionally protected speech space of Internet users, it has attracted concerns from all sides and generated much controversy in Chinese society. Few other countries, such as South Korea, have implemented a real-name system on the Internet.

Five Identifications as a term has been mentioned in many Chinese government and Chinese Communist Party (CCP) websites. It was proposed by the general secretary of the CCP, Xi Jinping. He has repeatedly emphasized its importance.
