The 2023 BYU Cougars softball team represents Brigham Young University in the 2023 NCAA Division I softball season. Gordon Eakin enters the year as head coach of the Cougars for a 21st consecutive season. 2023 is the tenth and final season for the Cougars as members of the WCC in softball as they'll join the Big 12 Conference for the 2024 season. [3] The Cougars enter 2023 having won their last 13 conference championships and having been picked as the favorites to win the 2023 WCC title.

In 2011 the Cougars were part of the Mountain West Conference. In 2012 they joined the Western Athletic Conference for softball only. In 2013 they were part of the Pacific Coast Softball Conference, and in 2014 they join the West Coast Conference. The WCC is in its first season hosting softball after Pacific joined the conference, giving them the six members needed to host softball for the conference. The Cougars have won their last 3 conference championships and enter 2014 as the favorites in the WCC. The Cougars would win the conference championship with a sweep of Saint Mary's April 9 and qualify for their tenth consecutive NCAA softball tournament. After upsetting Northwestern on Thursday, the Cougars would lose twice on Friday to be eliminated from the Eugene region with a 34–23 overall record.

The Cougars entered 2015 having won their last 6 conference championships and as the favorites in the WCC. After sweeping a double header from Santa Clara on May 1, BYU won the 2015 WCC regular season title and became the first team to clinch a spot in the 2015 NCAA Division I softball tournament. The berth would be BYU's eleventh consecutive berth in the NCAA tournament.

Before 1995 BYU women's soccer competed as a club team and not as a member of the NCAA. The Cougars come off of a season where they were second in the WCC and went 11–4–1, 7–1–1 in the WCC. Their lone conference loss came to eventual national champion Santa Clara, whom the Cougars beat in Santa Clara in a non-conference match. For the 2021 season BYU returned 10 starters, including defending WCC Offensive Player of the Year Mikayla Colohan, who was drafted by the Orlando Pride. Cameron Tucker, who recorded eight goals and eight assists in 2020–21, also returned. The others returning due to an extra year of eligibility granted due to the COVID-19 pandemic include goalkeeper Cassidy Smith, Grace Johnson and Mikaylie Call. The incoming class features six new athletes and no new transfers. The Cougars went on to share the WCC crown, advance to their first ever College Cup, and tied in the championship with Florida State before losing on penalties to finish as national runner–up.

The 2023 BYU Cougars baseball team represents Brigham Young University during the 2023 NCAA Division I baseball season. Trent Pratt acts as the new head coach of the BYU Cougars baseball team after taking over the interim duties last season.

The 2024 BYU Cougars softball team represents Brigham Young University in the 2024 NCAA Division I softball season. Gordon Eakin enters the year as head coach of the Cougars for the 22nd consecutive season. 2024 is the first season that sees the Cougars as members of the Big 12 Conference. BYU enter 2024 having won 13 of the last 14 conference championships but being picked to finish 7th in their new conference.
