The Utah Utes softball team represents University of Utah in NCAA Division I college softball. The team participates in the Pac-12 Conference. The Utes are currently led by head coach Amy Hogue. The team plays its home games at Dumke Family Softball Stadium located on the university's campus. [2]

The Utah Utes football program is a college football team that competes in the Pac-12 Conference (Pac-12) of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of NCAA Division I and represents the University of Utah. The Utah college football program began in 1892 and has played home games at the current site of Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City since 1927. They have won 28 conference championships in five conferences during their history, and, as of the end of the 2022 season, they have a cumulative record of 711 wins, 476 losses, and 31 ties (.596).

The Utah Utes men's basketball team, also known as the Runnin' Utes, represents the University of Utah as an NCAA Division I program that plays in the Pac-12 Conference. They play their home games at the Jon M. Huntsman Center. The school has made the NCAA tournament 29 times, which ranks 20th in NCAA history and tied for third most appearances behind UCLA and the University of Arizona in the Western United States. They last made the tournament in 2016. Utah won the NCAA Championship in 1944, defeating Dartmouth College 42–40 for the school's only NCAA basketball championship. However, the school also claims the 1916 AAU National Championship, which was awarded after winning the AAU national tournament. They have also won the NIT once, defeating Kentucky in 1947. In 1998, the Utes played in the NCAA championship game, losing to Kentucky.

Joleen Evans is an American college softball coach. She is the head coach of the UC-Santa Barbara softball team. She was the head coach for Texas A&M from 1997 to 2022. Prior to that, she served as the head coach for the Utah Utes from 1990 to 1996 and for the Colorado State Rams from 1986 to 1989. She started her coaching career as an assistant coach for Florida State in 1984. She has won conference coach of the year honors seven times over her head coaching career.

The Utah Utes women's gymnastics team, also known as the Red Rocks, represents the University of Utah and competes at the Division I level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as members of the Pac-12 Conference. Home meets are held in the Jon M. Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. As of the end of the 2022 season, the Red Rocks have won 10 national championships, including nine NCAA Gymnastics championships, and been runner-up nine times. The Red Rocks are the only team to have qualified for every NCAA Championships and have never finished lower than 10th. The team was coached from its inception by Greg Marsden until his retirement after the 2015 season. Carly Dockendorf is the current head coach, after the release of Tom Farden in 2023.

They were members of the Mountain West Conference. 2010 was the Utes' final year in the Mountain West, as they began play in the Pac-12 in 2011.

William Arthur Kinneberg is a former American baseball coach. He served as head baseball coach of the Utah Utes in 1996 and from 2005 to 2021. Coach Kinneberg lead the Utes to the university's first ever men's Pac-12 championship in the 2016 season, finishing with a 26–29 overall record.

Gordon Eakin is an American college softball coach and the current head coach of the BYU Cougars softball team. Eakin is a graduate of the University of Utah and is a former Major League Baseball player for the Oakland Athletics. Eakin also serves as the USA National Team Hitting Coach.

Hannah Irene Flippen is an American softball player. She played college softball at the University of Utah, where she was a three-time All-American. Flippen is a member of for the United States women's national softball team, and competed at the 2017 World Cup of Softball. She was also chosen to play for the 2018 Japan All-Star Series and World Cup of Softball team.

Amy Timmel Hogue is an American, former collegiate All-American, professional softball second baseman and current head coach at Utah. Hogue played college softball at Utah and led them to two Women's College Word Series appearances. Hogue as a freshman player set the NCAA Division I single game record for at-bats (14) on May 11, 1991, during the longest game in NCAA softball history.

The 2019 NCAA Division I Softball season, play of college softball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level, began February 7, 2019. The season will progress through the regular season, many conference tournaments and championship series, and will conclude with the 2019 NCAA Division I softball tournament and 2019 Women's College World Series. The Women's College World Series, consisting of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA Tournament will be held annually in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium, will end in June 2019.

The 1996–97 Utah Utes men's basketball team represented the University of Utah as a member of the Western Athletic Conference during the 1996–97 men's basketball season. Led by head coach Rick Majerus, the Utes made a run through the NCAA tournament to the West regional final. The team finished with an overall record of 29–4.

The 2021 NCAA Division I Softball season, play of college softball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level, began in February 2021. The season progressed through the regular season, many conference tournaments and championship series, and concluded with the 2021 NCAA Division I softball tournament and 2021 Women's College World Series. The Women's College World Series, consisted of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA Tournament was held in Oklahoma City at USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium, and ended on June 10, 2021.
