The boys' singles tournament of the 2023 Badminton Asia Junior Championships will be held from 12 to 16 July. Kunlavut Vitidsarn from Thailand clinched this title in the last edition in 2019 before COVID-19 pandemic.

Pusarla Venkata Sindhu, popularly known as PV Sindhu, is an Indian badminton player. Considered as one of India's most successful athletes, Sindhu has won medals at tournaments such as the Olympic Games, the World Championships, and on the World Tour. She is the first and only Indian to become the badminton world champion and only the second individual from India to win two consecutive medals at the Olympic Games. She rose to a career-high world ranking of No. 2 in April 2017.
Viktor Axelsen is a Danish badminton player. He is a two-time Olympic Champion, two-time World Champion, and four-time European Champion. He has held the No. 1 BWF World Ranking in men's singles for a total of 183 weeks, and he is the current world No. 3. Throughout his career, Axelsen has won every single major title in both team and individual events at least once, except for Sudirman Cup. Known for his powerful smashes and solid defence, he is widely regarded as one of the greatest badminton players of all time.
Akane Yamaguchi is a Japanese badminton player. She was a two-time world champion who won gold medals in the women's singles at the 2021 and 2022 World Championships. She was a member of the winning Japanese team at the Asian Junior Championships in 2012 and won the World Junior Championships in 2013 and 2014, the Asian Junior Championships in 2014, and the Asian Championships in 2019.
Anthony Sinisuka Ginting is an Indonesian badminton player. He first rose to senior prominence when he won the bronze medal at the 2018 Asian Games, having won a 2014 Youth Olympic bronze in 2014. At the 2020 Olympics, he won bronze in the men's singles event, becoming the first Youth Olympic badminton medalist to win a medal at the Olympics. Ginting was part of Indonesia's winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup.
Zheng Siwei is a Chinese badminton player specializing in doubles. He is an Olympic gold medalist, a three-time World Champion and two-time Asian Games gold medalist in the mixed doubles with his current partner Huang Yaqiong. He helped the national team clinch the 2018 Thomas Cup and also 2019 and 2023 Sudirman Cups.

The defending champions of the last edition is He Bingjiao from China. Pornpawee Chochuwong, Goh Jin Wei and Chen Yufei were the top 3 seeded this year. Chen Yufei of China emerged as the champion after defeat Gregoria Mariska of Indonesia in the finals with the score 25–23, 21–14.

The defending champions of the last edition is He Jiting and Zheng Siwei from China. He Jiting / Tan Qiang of China and Pakin Kuna-Anuvit / Natthapat Trinkajee of Thailand leads the seeding this year. The runner-up in the last edition Han Chengkai and Zhou Haodong of China emerged as the champion after upset their teammates, the first seeded He and Tan in the finals with the score 21–12, 21–17.
Chen Yufei is a Chinese badminton player. She won the gold medal in Badminton singles at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. In her junior career, she won the girls' singles titles at the 2016 Asian and the World Junior Championships. At the same year, Chen clinched her first senior title at the Macau Open. She won a bronze medal at the 2017 World Championships and was awarded as the Eddy Choong Most Promising Player of the Year in 2017. On 17 December 2019, she reached a career-high BWF World Ranking as world number 1, and finished the year as the year-end no.1. Other achievements include winning the World Tour Finals in 2019 and silver medals at the 2022 World Championships and Asian Games.
Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo is an Indonesian professional badminton player. He was a World junior silver medalist in 2016 and Asian Championships bronze medalist in 2022. Dwi Wardoyo was also part of Indonesia winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup. He is the older brother of Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo.
Rinov Rivaldy is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with Djarum club. He won the gold medal at the 2017 World Junior Championships, and bronze medals at the 2019 and 2021 SEA Games in the mixed doubles with Pitha Haningtyas Mentari.
Lakshya Sen is an Indian badminton player. He's a former World Junior No. 1. Sen is a bronze medalist at the World Championships, a gold medalist at the Thomas Cup, a silver medalist at the Asian Games and a gold and silver medalist at the Commonwealth Games. He has also won bronze medals at the Asia Team and Asia Mixed Team Championships. Sen won the Canada Open and was the runner-up at the All England Open. At the junior level, he has won a gold and silver medal at the Youth Olympic Games, a bronze medal at World Junior Championships and a gold and bronze medal at Asia Junior Championships.

The girls' singles tournament of the 2017 Asian Junior Badminton Championships was held from 26 July to 30 July 2017. The defending champions of the last edition is Chen Yufei from China. Gregoria Mariska, Yeo Jia Min and Pattarasuda Chaiwan were the top 3 seeds in the tournament. Han Yue of China, the 4th seed, emerged as the champion after she beat 3rd seed Pattarasuda Chaiwan of Thailand in the finals with a score of 21–15, 21–13.
The mixed doubles tournament of the 2017 Asian Junior Badminton Championships was held from July 26 to 30. The defending champions of the last edition were He Jiting and Du Yue from China. The host pair, No 5. seeds Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti claim the title after defeat the No. 3 seed from South Korea Na Sung-seung and Seong Ah-yeong in rubber games with the score 21–19, 19–21, 21–9.

Kang Min-hyuk is a South Korean badminton player affiliated with Samsung Electro-Mechanics team. He is the reigning men's doubles World Champions with his partner Seo Seung-jae. Educated at Maewon High School, Kang rose to prominence when he along with Kim Won-ho, defeated seeded players at the 2019 Asian Championships and reached the semi-finals, ultimately winning the bronze medal. He has joined the South Korea national badminton team since 2017, became the part of Korean team that won bronze medal at the 2021 Sudirman Cup and the silver medal in 2023. During his career as a junior player, Kang became the part of 2017 Asian Junior Championships mixed team champion as well.
