The 2023 Channel One Trophy was a Russian domestic team figure skating competition held from 21 to 22 January 2023 in Mocow, Russia. Single skaters who placed in the top eight and pairs who placed in the top 4 at the 2023 Russian Championships were invited to compete. [1]
Skaters competed against each other in two teams consisting of four men's single skaters, four ladies' single skaters and two pair teams. Four ice dance teams were invited to show their programs but did not contribute to the points gathered by the teams. The teams were randomly selected by draw by team captains Kamila Valieva and Alina Zagitova. [2]
The competition was broadcast by Channel One Russia and was made available to international viewers via YouTube.

The Channel One Cup is an annual ice hockey event held in Russia under the auspices of Channel One. It is an open tournament typically composed of various national teams.
Anna Alexeyevna Pogorilaya is a Russian figure skater. She is the 2016 World bronze medalist, a three-time European medalist, and the 2016 Russian national bronze medalist. She won gold at three Grand Prix events – the 2013 Cup of China, 2016 Rostelecom Cup, and 2016 NHK Trophy. Earlier in her career, she won bronze at the 2013 World Junior Championships and at the 2012–13 Junior Grand Prix Final.
Alina Ilnazovna Zagitova is a retired Russian figure skater. She is the 2018 Olympic champion, the 2019 World champion, the 2018 European champion, 2017–18 Grand Prix Final champion, and the 2018 Russian national champion. Zagitova also won a silver medal in the team event at the 2018 Winter Olympics, representing the Olympic Athletes from Russia team.
Makar Denisovich Ignatov is a Russian figure skater. He is the 2019 CS Nebelhorn Trophy champion, 2019 Rostelecom Cup bronze medalist, 2016 Cup of Nice bronze medalist and 2021 Russian national silver medalist.
Aleksandra Igorevna Boikova is a Russian pair skater. With her skating partner, Dmitrii Kozlovskii, she is the 2020 European champion, the 2021 World bronze medalist, the 2019 European bronze medalist, a six-time Grand Prix medalist, the 2020 Russian national champion, and a six-time Russian national medalist.
Dmitrii Eduardovich Kozlovskii is a Russian pair skater. With his skating partner, Aleksandra Boikova, he is the 2020 European champion, the 2021 World bronze medalist, the 2019 European bronze medalist, a six-time Grand Prix medalist, the 2020 Russian national champion, and a six-time Russian national medalist.
Sofia Antonovna Shevchenko is a Russian ice dancer. With her skating partner, Igor Eremenko, she is the 2019 World Junior bronze medalist and the 2018–19 Junior Grand Prix Final champion. She has also won seven ISU Junior Grand Prix medals, including gold medals at 2017 JGP Latvia and 2018 JGP Austria, and she has finished within the top five at the 2018 World Junior Championships.
Igor Vladimirovich Eremenko is a ice dancer. With his former skating partner, Sofia Shevchenko, he is the 2019 World Junior bronze medalist and the 2018–19 Junior Grand Prix Final champion. He has also won seven ISU Junior Grand Prix medals, including gold medals at 2017 JGP Latvia and 2018 JGP Austria, and he has finished within the top five at the 2018 World Junior Championships. On November 29, 2023, Ermenko and Russian ice dancer Annabel Morozov suddenly left Russia for the United States.

With her skating partner, Denis Khodykin, she is the 2020 European bronze medalist, the 2019 Internationaux de France and 2019 Skate America silver medalist, and the 2018 Grand Prix of Helsinki and 2018 Rostelecom Cup bronze medalist. Earlier in their career, they won gold at the 2018 World Junior Championships and bronze at the 2017 Junior Grand Prix Final.
Alena Sergeyevna Kostornaia is a Russian figure skater. She is the 2020 European champion, the 2019–20 Grand Prix Final champion, a six-time Grand Prix medalist, and the 2019 CS Finlandia Trophy champion. Competing domestically, she is a three-time Russian senior national medalist. She previously held the world record for the highest senior short program score in women's skating.
Elizaveta Khasanzhonovna Khudaiberdieva is a Russian ice dancer. With her current skating partner, Egor Bazin, she is the 2023 Russian champion, 2022 Russian national bronze medalist.
Anna Stanislavovna Shcherbakova is a Russian figure skater. She is the reigning Olympic champion (2022), a World champion (2021), a European Champion (2022), and a three-time Russian national champion (2019–2021). She was the first woman figure skater to land a quad Lutz in senior competition and the first woman to land two quad Lutz jumps in a single program. She was also the first woman figure skater to land a quad flip in combination with a triple jump, as well as the first to land two quad flip jumps in a single program. She is the first Olympic champion in women’s single skating with quad jumps. The quad Lutz and quad flip are among the three most difficult jumps in figure skating, only behind the quad axel.
The Russian Cup in Figure Skating is a series of annual All-Russian figure skating competitions among Russian figure skaters, organized by the Figure Skating Federation of Russia. The Russian Cup competitions include five stages and the final of the Russian Cup, in which athletes compete in men's and women's single skating, pair figure skating and in ice dancing.

The results were among the criteria used to select the Russian team for the 2021 World Championships.
The 2021 Channel One Trophy was a domestic figure skating competition held from February 5–7, 2021 in Moscow, Russia. Members of the 2021 Russian national team who placed in the top six at either the 2021 Russian Championships or the 2020 European Championships, or who'd previously won the World Championships in any of the four disciplines were invited to compete. Skaters competed against each other in two teams consisting of three men's single skaters, three ladies' single skaters, two pair teams, and three ice dance teams, randomly selected by team captains Evgenia Medvedeva and Alina Zagitova.
Adeliia Tigranovna Petrosian is a Russian figure skater. She is the 2024 Russian national champion, the 2023 Russian Grand Prix Final champion, the 2021 JGP Slovenia champion and the 2021 Russian junior silver medalist. In 2021, Russian state media reported that she became the first female skater to perform a quadruple loop in a competition and the first skater, male or female, to perform two quadruple loops in a free skate. However, since these accomplishments occurred in domestic competition, they have not been recognized by the International Skating Union.
