The 2023 Deodhar Trophy was the 48th edition of the Deodhar Trophy, a domestic List A cricket competition that was played in India. [1] It took place from 24 July to 3 August 2023. [2] The tournament was played across six zones, forming part of the 2023 Indian domestic cricket season, announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in April 2023. [3] Deodhar Trophy was last held in 2019, [4] and this was also the first time it was played in zonal format since 2014. [5] [6]

The Duleep Trophy, also known as IDFC First Bank Duleep trophy due to sponsorship reasons, is a domestic first-class cricket competition played in India. Named after Kumar Shri Duleepsinhji of Nawanagar, the competition was originally contested by teams representing geographical zones of India. The 2015–16 Ranji Trophy was the 82nd season of the Ranji Trophy, the premier first-class cricket tournament in India. It was contested by 27 teams divided into three groups of nine teams each. The top three teams from Groups A and B advanced to the quarterfinals along with the top two teams from Group C. For this season the schedule splits into two stages, the first is a league stage and the second being a knock-out stage. The league stage starts on 1 October 2015 and ends on 4 December 2015 and the knock-out stage starts on 3 February 2016 and ends on 28 February 2016. The 2016–17 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy was the ninth edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, an annual Twenty20 tournament in India. It took place in August and September 2019, starting the 2019–20 domestic cricket season in India. India Blue were the defending champions. Unlike the previous three seasons, the tournament was played as day games, played with a red ball. The final was initially announced as a day/night match with the pink ball. However, the final was changed and was played as a day game. The change was attributed due to players' preference.

The 2022–23 Duleep Trophy, also known as Mastercard Duleep trophy due to sponsorship reasons, was the 59th season of the Duleep Trophy, a first-class cricket tournament in India. It started from 8 September 2022. The zonal format of the tournament returned after the 2014–15 season. The tournament was played across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. In the final, West Zone defeated South Zone by 294 runs to win their 19th title.

The 2022–23 Women's Senior Inter Zonal One Day was the inaugural edition of the Women's Senior Inter Zonal One Day, a domestic one day cricket competition in India. The tournament took place from 12 to 21 February 2023, with six zonal teams taking part. The tournament followed the 2022–23 Women's Senior Inter Zonal T20 in being the first tournament involving women's zonal teams in India since the 2017–18 Senior Women's Cricket Inter Zonal Three Day Game. The tournament was won by North Zone, who beat Central Zone by 9 wickets in the final.

The 2023 Duleep Trophy was the sixtieth edition of the Duleep Trophy, a domestic first-class cricket competition that was played in India. It took place from 28 June to 16 July 2023. The tournament was played across six zones, forming part of the 2023 Indian domestic cricket season, announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in April 2023. West Zone were the defending champions. In the final, South Zone defeated West Zone by 75 runs to win their 14th title.

North East Zone cricket team is a cricket team that plays first-class and List A cricket in the Duleep Trophy and Deodhar Trophy. The team is geographically based in Northeast India. They are currently being captained by Hokaito Zhimomi. It is a composite team of players from six teams from north east India: Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Sikkim.

The 2023–24 Women's Senior Inter Zonal T20 was the 2nd edition of the Women's Senior Inter Zonal T20, a domestic women's T20 competition in India. The tournament took place from 24 November to 4 December 2023, with six zonal teams taking part. Central Zone were the defending champions.
