The 2023 Deodhar Trophy was the 48th edition of the Deodhar Trophy, a domestic List A cricket competition that was played in India. [1] It took place from 24 July to 3 August 2023. [2] The tournament was played across six zones, forming part of the 2023 Indian domestic cricket season, announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in April 2023. [3] Deodhar Trophy was last held in 2019, [4] and this was also the first time it was played in zonal format since 2014. [5] [6]
In the final, South Zone defeated East Zone by 45 runs to win their ninth title. [7]

The Duleep Trophy, is a domestic First Class Cricket competition played in India. Named after former cricketer Duleepsinhji, the competition has largely been contested by teams representing various geographical zones of India since the first edition in 1961–62, with some editions featuring special invitee teams.
Ankit Ramdas Bawne is an Indian cricketer who plays for Maharashtra in Indian domestic cricket. A right-handed middle-order batsman with a first-class average of over 50, he has represented India Under-23s and West Zone.

The final was contested by Delhi and Gujarat, only the second time they had played each other in a one-day match. Gujarat won the final by 139 runs to claim their first Vijay Hazare title. They advanced to play in the 2015–16 Deodhar Trophy.

Unlike the previous three seasons, the tournament was played as day games, played with a red ball. The final was initially announced as a day/night match with the pink ball. However, the final was changed and was played as a day game. The change was attributed due to players' preference.

In the final, West Zone defeated South Zone by 294 runs to win their 19th title.
The 2022–23 Women's Senior Inter Zonal One Day was the inaugural edition of the Women's Senior Inter Zonal One Day, a domestic one day cricket competition in India. The tournament took place from 12 to 21 February 2023, with six zonal teams taking part. The tournament followed the 2022–23 Women's Senior Inter Zonal T20 in being the first tournament involving women's zonal teams in India since the 2017–18 Senior Women's Cricket Inter Zonal Three Day Game. The tournament was won by North Zone, who beat Central Zone by 9 wickets in the final.

West Zone were the defending champions. In the final, South Zone defeated West Zone by 75 runs to win their 14th title.
North East Zone cricket team is a cricket team that plays first-class and List A cricket in the Duleep Trophy and Deodhar Trophy. The team is geographically based in Northeast India. They are currently being captained by Hokaito Zhimomi. It is a composite team of players from six teams from north east India: Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Sikkim.

2023–24 Senior Women's Inter Zonal Multi-Day Trophy was the fifth season of the Inter Zonal Multi-Day Trophy, a women's first-class cricket competition played in India. It took place from 28 March to 11 April 2024. The tournament featured six zonal teams – Central Zone, East Zone, North Zone, North East Zone, South Zone and West Zone. The fixtures were hosted by the Maharashtra Cricket Association at Pune. The tournament saw the teams competing in five knockout games including the final, with each match lasting a maximum of three days. It was the first women's domestic red-ball competition in India since 2018. North Zone were the defending champions. East Zone were crowned as the champions after beating South Zone by one wicket in the final.

The tournament was played by four teams, India A, B, C and D, unlike recent years which were played in zonal format. All squads were picked by national selectors. It formed part of the 2024 Indian domestic cricket season, announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in June 2024. South Zone were the defending champions.
