The 2023 Harvard Crimson football team represented Harvard University as a member of the Ivy League during the 2023 NCAA Division I FCS football season. The team was led by head coach Tim Murphy in his 29th and final season at Harvard, and played home games at Harvard Stadium in Boston. With a win against the Penn on November 11, the Crimson clinched at least a share of the Ivy League title. The Harvard Crimson football team drew an average home attendance of 11,555 in 2023. [2]
The Ivy League's preseason prediction poll was released on August 7, 2023. The Crimson were predicted to finish fourth in the conference. [3]

The 2015 Penn State Nittany Lions football team represented Pennsylvania State University in the 2015 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They were a member of the East Division of the Big Ten Conference. They finished the season 7–6, 4–4 in Big Ten play to finish in fourth place in the East Division. They were invited to the TaxSlayer Bowl where they lost to Georgia.

The 2017 Harvard Crimson football team represented Harvard University during the 2017 NCAA Division I FCS football season. They were led by 24th-year head coach Tim Murphy and played their home games at Harvard Stadium. They were a member of the Ivy League. They finished the season 5–5 overall and 3–4 in Ivy League play to tie for fifth place. Harvard averaged 10,411 fans per game.
The 2018 season was the New York Jets' 49th in the National Football League (NFL), their 59th overall and their fourth and final under head coach Todd Bowles. Despite starting 3–3, they lost 9 of their last 10 games. In Week 3, the Jets lost to the Browns by a score of 21–17, becoming the first team to lose to the Browns since the Chargers lost 20–17 on Christmas Eve 2016. The win by the Browns ended a 19-game winless streak. Week 6 marked the first season the Jets have scored 40+ points in multiple games since the 2008 season. They were officially mathematically eliminated from playoff contention for the 8th consecutive season after the Titans defeated the Jaguars 30–9 in Week 14. The Jets failed to improve on their 5–11 record from the previous season with a 38–3 blowout loss in Week 17 to the New England Patriots, finishing at last place in the AFC East with a 4–12 record. Following the season finale, the Jets fired Bowles.

They were led by third-year head coach Hugh Freeze and played their home games at Williams Stadium in Lynchburg, Virginia. The Flames competed as an FBS independent. They finished the regular season 7–5.

The Panthers played their home games at Riccardo Silva Stadium in Miami, Florida, and competed in the East Division of Conference USA (C-USA). They were led by fifth-year head coach Butch Davis.
