The AS Douanes men's basketball team played the 2024 season in the Nationale 1 (NM1) and the Basketball Africa League (BAL).

Contents

The Douanes are the defending champions of the NM1, and were coming off their silver medal performance in the 2023 BAL season. In the 2024 BAL season, they finished second in the Sahara Conference and were the number three seed in the playoffs. In the quarter-finals, they were eliminated by Petro de Luanda. [1]

The 2021 BAL season, also known as BAL Season 1, was the inaugural season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). Established as a joint effort between the National Basketball Association (NBA) and FIBA, the BAL is the highest tier continental league of Africa, replacing the FIBA Africa Basketball League. This season US Monastir was coached by Marouan Kechrid until October, when Linos Gavriel took over. However, Gavriel did not coach during the 2023 BAL season, where the head coaching duties were given to former BAL championship-winning Miodrag Perišić.

Samba Daly "Pape" Fall is a Senegalese professional basketball player who currently plays for AS Douanes of the N1 and the Basketball Africa League (BAL). A 1.98 m tall shooting guard or small forward, he has played for the Senegal national team. Fall is a two-time Nationale 1 Finals MVP and a one-time season MVP winner (2023).

The AS Douanes men's basketball team played the 2023 season in the Nationale 1 (NM1) and the Basketball Africa League (BAL). Having won the previous national championship, the Douanes returned to the BAL after one-year of absence. They signed Terrell Stoglin and Chris Crawford for the season as American import players. On 27 September 2023, AS Douanes won its record-setting 11th national championship, thus overtaking ASFA as the Senegalese club with the most NM1 titles.

In the 2024 season for APR played internationally in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) and domestically in the Rwanda Basketball League (RBL). The team played in the BAL following their championship in the 2023 season, that ended a 14-year title drought for APR.

The 2023–24 season of the US Monastir basketball team is the 65th season in club history and will be the 4th season in the Basketball Africa League (BAL).

The 2024 BAL playoffs will be the postseason tournament of the 2024 BAL season to determine the champions of the 4th Basketball Africa League (BAL) season. The playoffs will begin on 24 May 2024 with the seeding games and finish on 1 June 2024 with the final. For a fourth consecutive season, the playoffs will be hosted in the BK Arena in Kigali.
