The 2024 Prague Open (branded as the Livesport Prague Open for sponsorship reasons) was a professional women's tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts at the TK Sparta Prague. It was the 15th edition of the tournament, a WTA 250 tournament on the 2024 WTA Tour. It took place in Prague, Czech Republic from 21 to 26 July 2024. [1] Magda Linette and Magdalena Fręch played the first all-Polish final on the WTA Tour in the Open Era, [2] while wildcard entrant Laura Samson became the first player born in 2008 or later to win a WTA Tour main draw match. [3]

Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza were the defending champions, but chose not to participate together. Mirza teamed up with Barbora Strýcová, but lost in the quarterfinals to Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic. Hingis played alongside CoCo Vandeweghe, but lost in the semifinals to Garcia and Mladenovic.

The 2017 Volvo Car Open was a women's tennis event on the 2017 WTA Tour. It took place between April 3 – 9, 2017 and was the 45th edition of the Charleston Open tournament and a Premier level tournament. The event took place at the Family Circle Tennis Center, on Daniel Island, Charleston, United States. It was the only event of the clay court season played on green clay. Tímea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic defeated Hsieh Su-wei and Barbora Strýcová in the final, 6–2, 6–1 to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2020 Australian Open. It was their second Australian Open title together. Despite the loss, Hsieh regained the WTA no. 1 doubles ranking for the first time since 2014, replacing her partner Strýcová. Mladenovic, Aryna Sabalenka and Xu Yifan were also in contention for the top ranking.

Elise Mertens and Aryna Sabalenka defeated Barbora Krejčíková and Kateřina Siniaková in the final, 6–2, 6–3, to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2021 Australian Open. It was their second major doubles title as a team, after the 2019 US Open. With the win, Sabalenka claimed the world No. 1 doubles ranking.

The 2021 Prague Open was a professional women's tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts at the TK Sparta Prague. It was the 12th edition of the tournament which was part of the 2021 WTA Tour, and of the 250 series of tournaments. It took place in Prague, Czech Republic between 12 and 18 July 2021. This was the first edition of the tournament held on outdoor hard courts, as opposed to clay courts in previous editions.

Samantha Stosur and Zhang Shuai defeated Coco Gauff and Caty McNally in the final, 6–3, 3–6, 6–3 to win the women's doubles title at the 2021 US Open. It was Stosur's fourth major title in women's doubles and eighth major overall, as well as Zhang's second major title; this was the team's second major title, following the 2019 Australian Open. This was the first major final for Gauff and for McNally.

The 2022 Sydney Tennis Classic was a tennis tournament on the 2022 ATP Tour and 2022 WTA Tour. It was a combined ATP Tour 250 and WTA 500 tournament played on outdoor hard courts in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. This was the 128th edition of the tournament. The tournament took place at the NSW Tennis Centre from 10 to 15 January 2022.

Xu Yifan and Yang Zhaoxuan defeated Asia Muhammad and Ena Shibahara in the final, 7–5, 7–6(7–4) to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2022 Indian Wells Masters. They became the first all-Chinese team to win a WTA 1000-level title.

Laura Siegemund and Vera Zvonareva defeated Veronika Kudermetova and Elise Mertens in the final, 7–6(7–3), 7–5 to win the women's doubles title at the 2022 Miami Open.

Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic defeated Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula in the final, 2–6, 6–3, 6–2 to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2022 French Open. It was their second French Open title as a team. Mladenovic extended her winning streak at the event to 18 consecutive match wins and three titles, having last lost in the quarterfinals of the 2018 tournament.

Aleksandra Krunić and Magda Linette defeated Lyudmyla Kichenok and Jeļena Ostapenko by virtue of walkover to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2022 Eastbourne International, as Ostapenko incurred a right toe injury before the final match. Krunić and Linette claimed the title by winning only two matches, as their opponents in the semifinals also withdrew. It marked Krunić's sixth career WTA Tour doubles title and Linette's second.

Laura Samson is a Czech professional tennis player. She won the girls' doubles title at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships and was a runner-up in girls' singles at the 2024 French Open. She was the first player born in 2008 or later to win a WTA Tour main draw match.

Hsieh Su-wei and Elise Mertens defeated Lyudmyla Kichenok and Jeļena Ostapenko in the final, 6–1, 7–5 to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2024 Australian Open. It was their second major title as a team, Hsieh's eighth major title, and Mertens' fourth. With the win, Hsieh claimed both the women's doubles and the mixed doubles titles at the event. Hsieh was the first woman to win both titles at the Australian Open since Rennae Stubbs in 2000, and the first to do so at any major since Martina Hingis at the 2017 US Open. Ostapenko became the first Latvian finalist at the event.

Magda Linette won the singles title at the 2024 Prague Open, defeating Magdalena Fręch in the final, 6–2, 6–1 to win her third career WTA Tour title. It was the first all-Polish final on the WTA Tour in the Open Era.

Barbora Krejčiková and Kateřina Siniaková defeated Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Lucie Šafářová in the final, 6–3, 6–3 to win the doubles tennis title at the 2024 Prague Open.
