The 2024 Thailand Open was a professional WTA tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 4th edition of the Thailand Open as part of the WTA 250 tournaments of the 2024 WTA Tour. It took place at the True Arena Hua Hin in Hua Hin, Thailand, from 29 January to 4 February 2024. [1]

Shnaider won her first WTA title at Hua Hin in February 2024.

Iga Świątek defeated Naomi Osaka in the final, 6–4, 6–0 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2022 Miami Open. She became the fourth woman in history to complete the Sunshine Double in singles, having won Indian Wells two weeks earlier. It was Świątek's first Miami Open title, her third consecutive WTA 1000 title, and her fourth WTA 1000-level title overall. Świątek became the first woman in history to win the first three WTA 1000 titles of the year in succession, the first player since Serena Williams in 2013 to win three consecutive WTA 1000 titles, and extended her winning streak to 17 matches. She lost no sets and just 26 games en route to the title, the fewest since Martina Hingis dropped 21 games in 2000. Additionally, Iga Świątek won Miami Open 2022 exactly 10 years after a fellow Polish tennis player Agnieszka Radwańska who won the tournament in 2012.

The 2023 Mérida Open Akron was a WTA 250 tournament organised for female professional tennis players on outdoor hard courts as part of the 2023 WTA Tour. The event took place at the Yucatán Country Club in Mérida, Mexico, from 20 through 26 February 2023 as a replacement for Abierto Zapopan. This tournament was the first of its class in the city of Merida, the main sponsor of the tournament was AKRON, and it was organized with a team formed by WTA representatives and GSSPORTS management a Mexican enterprise dedicated to conducting and directing this event under the lead of tournament director Gustavo Santoscoy.

The 2023 Grand Est Open 88 was a professional women's tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It was the sixteenth edition of the tournament and second as a WTA 125 event, which is also part of the 2023 WTA 125 tournaments. It took place in Contrexéville, France between 10 and 16 July 2023.

Diana Shnaider defeated the defending champion Zhu Lin in the final, 6–3, 2–6, 6–1 to win the singles tennis title at the 2024 Thailand Open. It was her first WTA Tour singles title.
