The 2024 Sakhir FIA Formula 3 round was a motor racing event held between 29 February and 2 March 2024 at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir, Bahrain. It was the first race of the 2024 FIA Formula 3 Championship and was being held in support of the 2024 Bahrain Grand Prix.
New Zealand automotive manufacturer Rodin Cars took over Carlin and renamed the team Rodin Motorsport, after previously becoming majority shareholder in 2023. [1]
The previous season's top five drivers - reigning champion Gabriel Bortoleto, runner-up Zak O'Sullivan, Paul Aron, Franco Colapinto, and Pepe Martí - all left the series and graduated to the FIA Formula 2 Championship. Italian F4 Championship champion and Kacper Sztuka and third-placed Arvid Lindblad debuted in the series with MP Motorsport and Prema Racing, respectively, both as Red Bull Junior Team members, and Formula Regional European Championship runner-up Martinius Stenshorne joined Hitech Pulse-Eight. [2] [3] [4] Thai Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, Peruvian Matías Zagazeta, and Alex Dunne of Ireland became the first drivers to represent their respective nations in series history.

The championship featured drivers competing in 3.4-litre Formula 3 racing cars which conformed to the technical regulations, or formula, of the championship. It ran in support of the Formula 1 World Championship and its sister series, Formula 2, serving as the third tier of formula racing in the FIA Global Pathway.

He was the 2019 British F4 champion and finished as runner-up in the 2022 FIA Formula 3 Championship, racing for Trident.
Roman Staněk Jr. is a Czech racing driver who is currently competing in the 2024 FIA Formula 2 Championship with Trident. He previously competed in FIA Formula 3 for three seasons, where he placed fifth in 2022, and is also the 2019 ADAC Formula 4 rookies' champion.
Isack Alexandre Hadjar is a French racing driver who is currently competing in the 2024 FIA Formula 2 Championship with Campos Racing. He previously competed in the 2023 Formula 2 Championship for Hitech Pulse–Eight. He also previously competed in the FIA Formula 3 Championship for Hitech, ending the season in fourth place. He was the 2021 Formula Regional European rookie champion and is a member of the Red Bull Junior Team.
Amaury Cordeel is a Belgian racing driver who is currently competing in the 2024 FIA Formula 2 Championship with Hitech Pulse-Eight, having prior raced for Invicta Virtuosi Racing and Van Amersfoort Racing. He has previously raced in the FIA Formula 3 Championship, Formula Renault Eurocup, Toyota Racing Series and F3 Asian Championship, as well as French, ADAC, Italian, UAE, Spanish and SMP F4. He was the 2018 Spanish F4 champion.
Oliver James Bearman is a British racing driver who is currently competing in the 2024 FIA Formula 2 Championship for Prema Racing and is a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy. He is a reserve driver for both Scuderia Ferrari and Haas F1 Team in Formula One. He made his Formula One debut with Scuderia Ferrari at the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, substituting for Carlos Sainz Jr.
Kush Maini is an Indian racing driver who is currently competing in the 2024 FIA Formula 2 Championship with Invicta Virtuosi Racing, having previously drove for Campos Racing in the 2023. He has previously competed in Formula 4, the Formula Renault Eurocup, the FIA World Endurance Championship, the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship, and FIA Formula 3. He is a member of the Alpine Academy and the reserve driver for Mahindra Racing in Formula E.
