The 2024 Women's Twenty20 Cup, known for sponsorship reasons as the 2024 Vitality Women's County T20, is the upcoming 14th edition of the Women's Twenty20 Cup, an English women's cricket Twenty20 domestic competition. It will take place between May and August 2024, with 35 teams taking part, organised into four regional groups. It will run alongside the ECB Women's County One-Day. [1]
Teams play matches within a series of regional groups, playing four matchdays, with most matchdays consisting of two matches per team. Matches are played using a Twenty20 format. The top team in each group progress to the national finals, playing each other team once with the winner of the group crowned national champions. [2] [3]
The groups work on a points system with positions being based on total points. Points are awarded as follows: [3]

The T20 Blast, currently named the Vitality Blast for sponsorship reasons, is a professional Twenty20 cricket competition for English and Welsh first-class counties. The competition was established by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003. It is the top-level Twenty20 competition in England and Wales.
The Wales women's cricket team is the Welsh team for women's cricket. They play their home matches at various grounds across the country, including Spytty Park, Newport and Pontarddulais Park, Pontarddulais. They are captained by Lauren Parfitt.
The Somerset Women cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English ceremonial county of Somerset. They play their home games at various grounds across Somerset, most often in Taunton, and are captained by Emily Edgcombe. Somerset consistently competed in either Division 1 or Division 2 of the Women's County Championship, and won Division 2 of the Women's Twenty20 Cup in 2019. In 2021, they won the West Midlands Group of the Twenty20 Cup. They are partnered with the regional team Western Storm.
The Lancashire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Lancashire. They play their home games at various grounds across the county, including Beaconsfield Road, Widnes. They are coached by Chris Chambers and captained by Eleanor Threlkeld. They won both the County Championship and the Twenty20 Cup in 2017. Lancashire have links with Cumbria, with some players playing for both sides, as well as some of their players making up a North Representative XI in 2021 and 2022. They are partnered with the regional side North West Thunder.
The Warwickshire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Warwickshire. They play their home games at Edgbaston Foundation Sports Ground, Birmingham, and are captained by Marie Kelly. In 2019, they won the Women's Twenty20 Cup. They are partnered with the regional side Central Sparks.
The Hampshire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Hampshire. They play their home games at various grounds across the county, including Totton and Eling CC and the Ageas Bowl Nursery Ground. They are captained by Emily Windsor. In 2018, they won Division One of the Women's County Championship, and were promoted from Division Two of the Women's Twenty20 Cup. They are partnered with the regional side Southern Vipers.
The Leicestershire Women's cricket team, officially the Leicestershire and Rutland Women's cricket team since 2010, is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic counties of Leicestershire and Rutland. They play their home games at various grounds across the two counties, often in Loughborough, Leicester or Empingham. They are captained by Rebecca Brooker. In 2019, they played in Division Three of the final season of the Women's County Championship, and have since competed in the Women's Twenty20 Cup. They are partnered with the East Midlands regional side The Blaze.

It took place in June, with 35 teams taking part: 33 county teams plus Scotland and Wales. Warwickshire Women won the Twenty20 Cup, as winners of Division 1, therefore achieving their first title.
The 2018 Women's Twenty20 Cup, known for sponsorship reasons as the 2018 Vitality Women's Twenty20 Cup was the 10th cricket Women's Twenty20 Cup tournament. It took place in June and July, with 36 teams taking part: 34 county teams plus Scotland and Wales. Middlesex Women won the Twenty20 Cup, as winners of Division 1, therefore achieving their first title.
The Huntingdonshire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Huntingdonshire. They play their home games at Cricketfield Lane in Ramsey, and are captained by Lottie Taylor. In the Women's County Championship, Huntingdonshire played as a combined team with Cambridgeshire, as Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire Women, but the two counties played separately in the 2014 Women's Twenty20 Cup, and Cambridgeshire have competed individually in the Twenty20 tournament since. In 2021, Huntingdonshire re-joined the Women's Twenty20 Cup, after playing in the East of England Championship in 2020. They are partnered with the regional side Sunrisers.
The 2021 Women's Twenty20 Cup, known for sponsorship reasons as the 2021 Vitality Women's County T20, was the 12th cricket Women's Twenty20 Cup tournament, taking place in April and May, with 36 teams taking part: 34 county teams plus Scotland and Wales. There was no overall winner, with Hertfordshire, Nottinghamshire, Lancashire, Kent, Gloucestershire and Somerset winning their respective regions.
The North Representative XI were a women's cricket team made up of players from across Northern England. They were formed in 2021 to take part in the Women's Twenty20 Cup, becoming the sixth team in the North Group to give the group an even number of teams: they finished 3rd, with 3 wins. They continued to compete in the 2022 Women's Twenty20 Cup, finishing sixth in their group of seven, but were removed from the competition ahead of the 2023 Women's Twenty20 Cup. Their squad included players from Lancashire, Cheshire, Cumbria, North East Warriors and Yorkshire, and they therefore had links with the regional sides North West Thunder and Northern Diamonds.

It took place in April and May 2022, with 35 teams taking part, organised into eight regional groups. There was no overall winner, with Lancashire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Suffolk, Leicestershire and Rutland, Sussex, Middlesex and Devon winning their individual groups.
The 2023 Women's Twenty20 Cup, known for sponsorship reasons as the 2023 Vitality Women's County T20, was the 14th edition of the Women's Twenty20 Cup, an English women's cricket Twenty20 domestic competition. It was scheduled to take place in April and May 2023, although one matchday was played later due to rain, with 35 teams taking part, organised into eight regional groups.
The 2024 T20 Blast will be the 2024 season of the T20 Blast, a professional Twenty20 cricket league played in England and Wales. The tournament is scheduled to be held from 30 May to 14 September 2024. It will be the seventh season in which the domestic T20 competition, run by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), will be branded as the Vitality Blast due to the tournament's sponsorship. Somerset are the defending champions, having won their second title during the previous season. On 23 November 2023, the ECB announced the fixtures for the tournament.
The 2024 ECB Women's County One-Day is an ongoing English women's cricket 50-over domestic competition. It is taking place between April and July 2024, with 35 teams taking part, organised into four regional groups. It is the first nationally-organised 50-over women's county competition since the 2019 Women's County Championship, and runs alongside the Women's Twenty20 Cup.
