25th Arabian Gulf Cup Group A

The Group A of the 25th Arabian Gulf Cup was one of the two groups of competing nations in the 25th Arabian Gulf Cup. It consisted of hosts Iraq, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Oman. The matches took place from 6 to 12 January 2023. The top two teams, Iraq and Oman, advanced to the semi-finals.

The 25th Arabian Gulf Cup, known as Khaleeji Zain 25 for sponsorship reasons, was the 25th edition of the biennial football competition for the eight members of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation. The tournament was hosted in Iraq for the first time since 1979, in the host city of Basra.

The 2023 AFC U-20 Asian Cup was the 41st edition of the AFC U-20 Asian Cup, the biennial international youth football championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's under-20 national teams of Asia. The top two teams from each group advanced to the knockout stage to compete in a single-legged single-elimination tournament, beginning with the semi-finals and followed by the final.

The 2023–24 AFC Cup group stage will be played from 18 September to 11 December 2023. A total of 36 teams competed in the group stage to decide the 11 places in the knockout stage of the 2023–24 AFC Cup.
