Gautham Vasudev Menon is an Indian film director, screenwriter, film producer and actor who predominantly works in Tamil film industry. He has also directed Telugu and Hindi films that were either simultaneously shot with or remakes of his own Tamil films. He has won two National Film Awards, three Nandi Awards and one Tamil Nadu State Film Award.
Nadunisi Naaygal is a 2011 Tamil-language experimental psychological thriller film written and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and produced by Photon Kathaas Productions and R. S. Infotainment. The film stars Veera, Sameera Reddy, and Deva, with Swapna Abraham and Ashwin in other pivotal roles. The film notably has no score, instead featuring sounds designed by Renganaath Ravee. Cinematography and editing were handled by Manoj Paramahamsa and Anthony Gonsalves, respectively. The film released on 18 February 2011, simultaneously dubbed and released in Telugu as Erra Gulabilu.
Photon Kathaas was an Indian film production company led by director Gautham Vasudev Menon. It was established in 2010 by Menon along with Venky Somasundaram and Reshma Ghatala, who worked as the co-promoters. Its name is derived from Gautham Menon's original company Photon Factory, which had previously co-produced several of Menon's films like Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu and Kaakha Kaakha, its Telugu remake Gharshana and Pachaikili Muthucharam.
Vithagan (transl. Trickster/Master) is a 2011 Tamil-language action film directed by R. Parthiban that features himself in the lead along with Poorna. The film, which has been in making since 2008, released on 18 November 2011. The film was the 50th film of Parthipan, has him in the role of a police officer, who is brainy as well as brawny. With an innovative tagline 'With the gun', 'Vithagan' has Poorna as heroine and music has been composed by Joshua Sridhar of 'Kadhal' fame. The film opened to extremely negative reviews and bombed at the box office.
Yennai Arindhaal is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film written and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and produced by A. M. Rathnam. The film stars Ajith Kumar, Anushka Shetty, Trisha Krishnan and Arun Vijay in the lead roles, while Anikha, Parvathy Nair, Vivek, Ashish Vidyarthi, Suman and Avinash Yelandur appear in supporting roles. It is also the final film of Menon's police trilogy after Kaakha Kaakha and Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. The film revolves around a former police officer's battle to protect his step-daughter from his arch-enemy.
Darling is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language horror comedy film directed by Sam Anton and produced by Allu Aravind and K. E. Gnanavel Raja. The film features composer G. V. Prakash Kumar in his acting debut, Nikki Galrani in her Tamil debut in the lead roles, with the former also composing the film's music. A remake of the 2013 Telugu film Prema Katha Chitram, the film was released in theaters on 15 January 2015. It was a blockbuster at the box office.

The film is written and directed by Bhuvan Nullan. Yogi Babu and Yashika Aannand have featured in the lead roles, while Manobala, Gopi, Sudhakar and Anbu Thasan have played pivotal roles. Jiivi (transl. Intelligent) is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language thriller film directed by V. J. Gopinath and written by Babu Tamizh. Jointly produced by M. Vellapandian, Sudalaikan Vellapandian and Subramanian Vellapandian. The film stars Vetri in the lead role, alongside an ensemble cast including Karunakaran, Monica Chinnakotla, Rohini, Ashwini Chandrashekar and Mime Gopi. The soundtrack album and background score was composed by K. S. Sundaramurthy, while art work, production controlling, executive production, line production were handled by Vairabalan, S. Nagarajan, Vivin S. R. and I. B. Karthikeyan, respectively. The film released on 28 June 2019 and was a successful venture. A sequel, Jiivi 2, was released in 2022.
Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada is the soundtrack album for the 2016 Tamil film of the same name. Starring Silambarasan and Manjima Mohan in lead roles, the film was directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and has music composed by A. R. Rahman, collaborating with Silambarasan and Gautham Menon once again, after Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya (2010). The song titles were revealed by Menon in March 2016. The soundtrack album consisting of five songs were released by Ondraga Entertainment and Divo on 7 October 2016.
Queen is an Indian Tamil-language period biographical drama streaming television series created by Reshma Ghatala. An adaptation of Anita Sivakumaran's novel of the same name, which is loosely based on the life of the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.
