Nurfitriyana Saiman-Lantang is a retired Indonesian archer who became a coach after retiring as a player. Together with Lilies Handayani and Kusuma Wardhani she won a team silver medal at the 1988 Olympics, bringing the first ever Olympic medal to Indonesia. She also competed in the individual and team events at the 1992 and 1996 Olympics; her best individual result was a ninth place finish in 1988. In the 1980s, Saiman won multiple medals in individual recurve events at the SEA Games. The ceremony featured a stage designed as a 26-meter-high mountain with a waterfall. It weighed 600 tons, was 120 meters long and 30 meters wide, and included a display of Indonesian plants and flowers, as well as a mock volcano. The volcano symbolized Indonesia's location in the "Ring of Fire" surrounding the Pacific Ocean.
