The 41st Robert Awards ceremony, presented by Danish Film Academy on 3 February 2024, to honour the best in Danish film and television of 2023. [1] It took place at the Tivoli Hotel & Congress Centre in Copenhagen, Denmark and was hosted by actress Lise Baastrup. [2]

Contents

Epic historical drama The Promised Land won eight awards out of fourteen nominations, including Best Danish Film. [3] Documentary film Apolonia, Apolonia won all five awards out of its nominations. Other winners included Unruly with two. DR1's crime drama series Prisoner won five awards, including Best Danish Television Series and every acting category. Film producer Marianne Moritzen received this year's Robert Honorary Award. [4] Film producer Sara Stockmann received the Ib Award. [5]

The 64th Bodil Awards were held on 20 February 2011 at the Bremen Theater in Copenhagen, Denmark, honouring the best national and foreign films of 2010. Ditte Hansen and Louise Mieritz hosted the event. Submarino had most nominations, with five, but the ceremony did not have a clear winner. R won the award for Best Danish Film and its protagonist, Pilou Asbæk, won the award for Best Actor while Trine Dyrholm was named Best Actress. Kurt Ravn and Patricia Schumann (Submarino) won the awards for Best Supporting Actor and Actress. Armadillo won both the awards for Best Documentary and Best Cinematographer. Tobias Lindholm received a Special Award for his contribution as a screenwriter both to R and Submarino. Henning Moritzen was given a Bodil Honorary Award for his contribution to Danish film.

The 66th Bodil Awards were held on 16 March 2013 in the Bremen Theater in Copenhagen, Denmark, honouring the best national and foreign films of 2012. A Hijacking won the award for Best Danish Film. Generally the awards were distributed among many films this year.

<i>Rita</i> (TV series) Danish comedy-drama TV series

Rita is a Danish comedy-drama television series created by Christian Torpe for TV 2. It premiered in Denmark on 9 February 2012, and concluded on 20 July 2020, with 40 episodes broadcast over five seasons. Produced by SF Studios, the series was filmed in Rødovre, Zealand, and executive-produced by Keld Reinicke, Karoline Leth, Lars Bjørn Hansen, Birdie Bjerregaard, Christian Rank, Jennifer Green, and Torpe, who also served as head writer. All episodes are available internationally on streaming service Netflix, who partnered with TV 2 to produce the later three seasons, becoming a Netflix Original.

The Robert Honorary Award has been given occasionally since 1986 as one of the Robert Awards by the Danish Film Academy. It is the Danish equivalent of the American Academy Honorary Award.

The Henning Bahs Award is a film award established in 2012 by the Danish Film Critics Association in collaboration with the Association of Danish Scenographers in honour of the Danish screenwriter and special effects designer Henning Bahs. It is given for excellence in production design and presented at the annual Bodil Awards-ceremony.

The Bodil Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role is one of the merit categories presented by the Danish Film Critics Association at the annual Bodil Awards. Created in 1948, it is one of the oldest film awards in Europe, and it honours the best performance by an actor in a supporting role in a Danish produced film. The jury can decide not to hand out the award, which happened numerous times between 1950 and 1985. Since 1986 it has been awarded every year.

Claes Kasper Bang is a Danish actor and musician. He is best known for playing the leading role of Christian in Ruben Östlund's 2017 film The Square, which won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, and for the role of Fjölnir in Robert Eggers's 2022 film The Northman. In 2019, he played the role of Sasha Mann for the final season of The Affair, and he rose to further international recognition by starring as Count Dracula in the BBC/Netflix series Dracula (2020). Ali Abbasi is an Iranian-Danish filmmaker. He is known for his films Shelley (2016), Border (2018), Holy Spider (2022), and The Apprentice (2024). Abbasi also directed the last two episodes of the first season of the series The Last of Us. He has received various accolades, including an Un Certain Regard award, four Robert Awards, and a German Film Award, in addition to nominations for seven European Film Awards, a Goya Award, and two Guldbagge Awards.
