The 44th NAACP Image Awards ceremony, presented by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), honored the best in film, television, recording, and literature of 2012. [1] [2] The ceremony took place on February 1, 2013, at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California, aired live on NBC and was hosted by Steve Harvey. [3]

U.S. Admiral Michelle Howard was received the Chairman's Award. [4] American actress Kerry Washington was honored with the President's Award for being a "modern trailblazer". [5] Harry Belafonte was recognized with the Spingarn Medal while Jamie Foxx won the Entertainer of the Year. [6]

The 36th Young Artist Awards ceremony, presented by the Young Artist Association, honored excellence of young performers between the ages of 5 and 21 in the fields of film, television, theatre and the internet for the 2014 calendar year. Winners were announced on May 15, 2015, at the annual ceremony and banquet luncheon held in the Empire Ballroom of the Sportsmen's Lodge in Studio City, California.
