Written by lead singer Freddie Mercury, it remains among rock's most recognisable anthems. "Speed of Sound" made its radio premiere on BBC Radio 1 with Lamacq on 19 April, then was serviced to US radio on 18 April 2005. The song was released physically in Japan on 11 May with two B-sides: "Things I Don't Understand" and "Proof". In the United Kingdom, the single was issued on 23 May 2005.

"Damn, dis-moi", also released under the title "Girlfriend", is a song by French singer Christine and the Queens featuring American funk musician Dâm-Funk. "Damn, dis-moi" is the French version and "Girlfriend" is the English version. Both versions were released on 17 May 2018.

La vita nuova is an extended play by French singer-songwriter Christine and the Queens. The EP was released digitally alongside an accompanying short film on 27 February 2020 through Because Music, with CD and vinyl versions following on 29 May 2020. A double 7" containing two of the EP's tracks and a live piano version of each was released on Record Store Day. The two live versions were featured on an expanded edition of the EP, released on 27 February 2021. The title track is Christine's first song to feature lyrics in Italian since "Science Fiction" from his debut album Chaleur humaine.
