AOA Black is a subgroup of the South Korean girl group AOA, formed by FNC Entertainment in 2013. The group is composed of AOA members: Choa, Mina, Jimin, Yuna, and Youkyung. The group was known for their debut single, "Moya". The group has been inactive since 2014, which was followed by all the group members' departures from FNC.
During the early year of 2013, FNC Entertainment officially announced the formation of the subgroup. [1] In early July of the same year, the label began providing teasers of the members on their upcoming debut. [2]
Their debut single album, "Moya", was released on July 26, 2013. Download sales were up to 171,475 with physical CD sales at 2,692 according to Gaon Music Chart. [3]
AOA Black made their first comeback appearance on the October 10, 2014 broadcast of KM's Music Triangle and performed the band version of "Get Out" for the first time. [1] The band made their second appearance on the October 12 broadcast of Music Bank. [1]
In an interview made by FNC in January 2016, it was announced that the group will most likely to have their comeback. [4]
On October 15, 2016, it was announced that Youkyung had left the agency and group following the end of her contract, but would be a guest member in any future AOA Black activities. [5] Soon afterwards Jimin posted a photo of all eight members on Instagram with the caption simply reading "AOA". [6]
On June 22, 2017, Choa announced her departure from AOA. [7] FNC Entertainment initially denied the statement, [8] but on June 30, they confirmed Choa left the group. [9]
On May 13, 2019, it was announced that Mina would be leaving AOA after deciding not to renew her contract with FNC Entertainment in order pursue an acting career.
On July 4, 2020, it was announced that Jimin would leave AOA following bullying allegations by former member Mina. [10]
On January 1, 2021, it was announced that Yuna would leave FNC following the expiration of her contract. [11]

She is the former leader and main rapper of the girl group AOA and guitarist of the sub-unit AOA Black, which debuted under FNC Entertainment. In 2015, Jimin was a semi-finalist in the first season of Unpretty Rapstar. During the show, she released several successful collaboration singles, most notably "Good Start" and "Puss". Following allegations of bullying by former bandmate Kwon Mina, Jimin left the group and retired from the entertainment industry in July 2020. She returned to the entertainment industry in July 2022.

Nam Tae-hyun, also known as Taehyun, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, producer and actor. In March 2017, he founded a music label, South Buyers Club. Sometime afterwards, the label was renamed to The South. Under the label, Nam debuted the band South Club, of which he is leader, main vocalist, guitarist, and main composer. He was previously the main vocalist of K-pop group Winner, in which he also composed and produced. In November 2019, Nam announced that he closed his music label and that the band had signed with new management.
Good Luck is the fourth extended play by South Korean girl group AOA. It was released as a digital download on May 16, 2016 by FNC Entertainment and distributed by LOEN Entertainment. The physical album was released two days later on May 18. To promote the EP, the group appeared on several South Korean music programs, including Music Bank, Show! Music Core and Inkigayo. The song of the same name was released as the lead song for the EP.
