AOA Cream is a subgroup of the South Korean girl group AOA, formed by FNC Entertainment in 2016. It composes of two AOA members: Hyejeong and Chanmi. Previously, Yuna was a member, until she left in 2021. The group is notable for their debut single, I'm Jelly Baby. [1]

History

During early 2016, FNC Entertainment announced the formation of the subgroup. [2] In early February of the same year, the label began providing teasers of the members on their upcoming debut. [3] [4] [5] In 2016, they were featured in Cosmopolitan . [6]

Their debut single, "I'm Jelly Baby", was released on February 11, 2016. [7] The single peaked at No. 26 on the Korean Gaon charts. [8] In late 2019, the group performed the single on the TV show Queendom . [9] [10]

On January 1, 2021, FNC Entertainment announced that Yuna's contract had expired. [11]

In 2023, Hyejeong left FNC Entertainment.[ citation needed ]

On May 22, 2024, Dohwa announced through her personal social media that she had left FNC Entertainment following the expiration of her contract. [12]

AOA Black was a subgroup of the South Korean girl group AOA, formed by FNC Entertainment in 2013. Youkyung left the agency of the group in October 2016, but would remain as a guest member for future activities. Choa left the group and sub-unit on June 30, 2017, while Mina left the group in May 2019, Jimin in July 2020, and Yuna in January 2021. Due to the departures of all members from the label and the main group, the subgroup was quietly disbanded immediately after Yuna left both. The subgroup was notable for their debut single album, "Moya".

"I'm Jelly Baby" is a song recorded by South Korean girl group AOA Cream, a sub-group from the girl group, AOA. It was released as their debut single by FNC Entertainment and distributed by LOEN Entertainment on February 12, 2016, as a digital single. The lyrics were written by Black Eyed Pilseung and Sam Lewis and the music was composed by Black Eyed Pilseung. To promote the song, AOA Cream performed "I'm Jelly Baby" on several South Korean music programs, including Music Bank, Show! Music Core and Inkigayo. A music video for the single was also released on February 12.

Kim Ji-yeon (Korean: 김지연; born March 20, 1995), known professionally as Kei, is a South Korean singer and musical actress. She rose to fame as a member of South Korean girl group Lovelyz in November 2014. Kei officially made her solo debut with released EP on October 8, 2019, titled Over and Over. On November 16, 2021, she left Woollim Entertainment, although she remains as a member of Lovelyz. She joined Palm Tree Island in January 2022 to focus on her musical career, before moving to A2Z Entertainment later that year. In 2023, Kei participated in Mnet reality competition show Queendom Puzzle, debuting with the resulting project supergroup El7z Up in September of that year.
