The APRA Silver Scroll Awards for Most Performed New Zealand Work in New Zealand and Most Performed New Zealand Work Internationally were two annual awards presented to the New Zealand song that had been performed the most in New Zealand and internationally, respectively. The awards were presented by APRA AMCOS New Zealand, the copyright collective representing New Zealand composers, lyricists and music publishers. The awards were presented annually at the APRA Silver Scroll Awards. [1] The award was last presented in 2015.

While the national award was highly contested, from 2000 to 2012 the international award was dominated by Crowded House's 1986 song "Don't Dream It's Over".

Most Performed New Zealand Work in New Zealand

The Most Performed New Zealand Work in New Zealand winner is determined by APRA NZ, using data provided by New Zealand television and radio. The award covers the period of 1 July to 30 June each year. At least 50% of the song must have been written by an APRA New Zealand member.

The 2011 APRA Silver Scroll Awards were held on Tuesday 13 September 2011 at the Auckland Town Hall, celebrating excellence in New Zealand songwriting. The Silver Scroll Award was presented to Dave Baxter of Avalanche City for the song "Love Love Love", and pop-rock band Hello Sailor were inducted into the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame.

The 2010 APRA Silver Scroll Awards were held on Wednesday 8 September 2010 at the Auckland Town Hall, celebrating excellence in New Zealand songwriting. The Silver Scroll Award was presented to Alisa Xayalith, Thom Powers and Aaron Short of The Naked and Famous for their song “Young Blood”, and classic rock group The Fourmyula were inducted into the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame. The evening also included a tribute to Pauly Fuemana of OMC, who had died in January 2010.

She is the winner of multiple awards, including the 2014 APRA Silver Scroll Awards and Best Country Song Award; she is also the winner of the Best Country Album at the New Zealand Music Awards in 2009, 2010, 2012, and 2015, and Best Female Artist at the New Zealand Country Music Awards in 2010, 2011 & 2014. Her album Don't Be Afraid debuted at No. 1 on the New Zealand Music Charts, and her previous release Dynamite! was listed in The Guardian as one of the top ten country albums of the year for 2014. The 2015 APRA Silver Scroll Awards was held on Thursday 17 September 2015 at Vector Arena in Auckland, celebrating excellence in New Zealand songwriting. The 2015 ceremony marked the 50th presentation of the Silver Scroll award. As well as honouring the best songwriting of 2015, the awards retrospectively awarded the best song of 1981 as previously no award was presented in that year.

The 2016 APRA Silver Scroll Awards were held on Thursday 29 September 2016 at Vector Arena in Auckland, celebrating excellence in New Zealand songwriting.

The 2017 APRA Silver Scroll Awards were held on Thursday 28 September 2017 at the Dunedin Town Hall in Dunedin, celebrating excellence in New Zealand songwriting. This was the first time the awards had been hosted in Dunedin.

The APRA Music Awards of 2020 are the 38th annual series, known as APRA Awards, in 2020. The awards are given in a series of categories in three divisions and in separate ceremonies throughout the year: the APRA Music Awards, Art Music Awards and Screen Music Awards. They are provided by the Australasian Performing Right Association and the Australasian Mechanical Copyright Owners Society, known jointly as APRA AMCOS. In mid-February the associations announced that the previous category, Overseas Recognition Award, would be replaced by Global APRA Music Awards with separate ceremonies at three locations: Los Angeles for western North American-based artists, Nashville for central and eastern North American-based artists and London for European-based artists.
