A Little Rhythm and a Wicked Feeling is the fourth extended play by American synthpop duo Magdalena Bay, released on March 13, 2020, through Luminelle Recordings and The Orchard. [3]
The first single from the EP, "Venice", was released on August 15, 2019. The dance-pop song was accompanied by a "highly cinematic" music video described as a "dreamy and strange slice of pop escapism". [4] "Good Intentions" was released on September 26, 2019 and described as "a crying at the club-type of song" that "looks back on a relationship and sways between acceptance and flashes of emotion." [5] Third single "Killshot" arrived on October 30, 2019, followed by "Oh Hell" on December 12, 2019. The latter song is an "emotional indie ballad" whose video features singer Mica Tennenbaum singing underwater. [6] Fifth single "How to Get Physical" was released on January 13, 2020 and was described as "a bold, inspired song that tackles that awkward feeling of not having the self-confidence to just let loose and dance". Pitchfork contributor Ashley Bardham wrote of the EP, "Rather than obscuring emotion, their manufactured sound invokes its own kind of nostalgic joy. A Little Rhythm and a Wicked Feeling is a reminder that exaggeration or artificiality don’t have to mean soullessness; pop music is supposed to be a loud, flashy monument to earnest, embarrassing emotion. "Dancing on My Own" is a song by Swedish singer-songwriter Robyn, released on 20 April 2010 as the lead single from her fifth studio album, Body Talk Pt. 1 (2010), the first in her Body Talk series. "Dancing on My Own" was produced by Patrik Berger, co-produced by Robyn, and mixed by Niklas Flyckt, with Robyn and Patrik sharing writing credits. The song's stark mid-tempo electropop version from her album was the first version of the single released followed by a layered mid-tempo synth-pop edit designed for radio and a downtempo piano ballad recording for Radio 1's Live Lounge – Volume 5 later that year. It depicts a female protagonist in a crowded club just before last call who is dancing on her own while watching her ex-boyfriend who she sought out dancing with and embracing another woman, pondering confronting him for the last time before her time runs out. The song was inspired by situations Robyn observed while on her previous tour then clubbing throughout Stockholm, her favorite "inherently sad gay disco anthems", and the dissolution of her engagement.

Magdalena Bay is an American alternative pop duo from Miami, Florida, based in Los Angeles, California. The duo consists of Mica Tenenbaum and Matthew Lewin, who write and produce together. They have released two studio albums, three EPs, and three mixtapes. The mixtapes are called Mini Mixes and are composed of short songs with accompanying homemade green screen music videos.

Released through Mom + Pop Music on May 28, 2024, as the lead single from the album, it marked their first single since the 2021 album Mercurial World. "Death & Romance" is a piano and drums-led psychedelic pop and neo-psychedelia track.
