Aa! (あぁ!) was a Japanese girl group.
The group's name was chosen by producer and writer Tsunku to represent multiple emotions such as joy and sadness multi-lingually, and so the group's CDs would be alphabetically at the start in record stores (although most Hello! Project merchandise is grouped together). The original group itself released only one single.
The group returned from hiatus in 2009 with a new song, "Yes-Yes-Yes", on the Champloo 1: Happy Marriage Song Cover Shū album. It was announced that Reina Tanaka would no longer be a part of the unit, in order to focus on Morning Musume. She was replaced by Hello! Pro Egg Akari Saho, who was only thirteen when she joined. Akari was already a member of two groups, Shugo Chara Egg! and Tomoiki Ki Wo Uetai. The group's new generation's second song, "Yume to Genjitsu" (夢と現実, "Dreams and Reality"), was released later in the same year on the Petit Best 10 collection.
The second generation of Aa! was also featured in the 2010 Shuffle Date tour, performing "First Kiss" and "Yume to Genjitsu". A joint release for Aa! with the shuffle units were announced for June 30, but it never released. Aa! was also featured in the Fankora! tour, performing the songs "First Kiss" and "Masayume".
In 2011, Aa! was featured again in the 2011 Winter tour with the songs "Shining Itoshiki Anata", originally by Country Musume and "DON'T STOP Renaichuu", originally by T&C Bomber.
In April 2011, Akari Saho left Aa! and Hello! Project and joined the group Up Up Girls (Kari).
From February 28 to March 1, Aa! reunited with Miyabi Natsuyaki and Airi Suzuki to perform a slightly updated version of "Masayume" at the Berryz Kobo Matsuri mini-tour, their first activities as Aa! since 2011. On March 3, 2015, Miyabi Natsuyaki graduated from Hello! Project with 5 other members of her main group, Berryz Kobo, as they entered an indefinite hiatus.
On August 20, 2016, it was revealed that Airi Suzuki, the last remaining Aa! member in Hello! Project, will graduate from Hello! Project. She graduated along with all of the members of C-ute on June 12, 2017.

Reina Tanaka is a Japanese singer and actress. She is the leader of the Japanese rock band Lovendor. From 2002 to 2013, she was one of the main vocalists of the girl group Morning Musume and participated in other music acts under the Hello! Project name.
Hello! Project is a Japanese musical collective consisting of all female recording artists and groups under Up-Front Promotion, a subsidiary of Up-Front Group. The name was initially used as Michiyo Heike and Morning Musume's fan club name in 1999, but has since then been used to represent all female recording artists at Up-Front Promotion. Until 2014, their songs were primarily produced by Tsunku.
High-King was a Japanese girl group associated with Hello! Project. The group was created to promote Morning Musume's production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, titled Cinderella the Musical. Their sound is said to have an R&B feel.
Berryz Kobo was a Japanese idol girl group formed by Up-Front Promotion in 2004 and associated with Hello! Project. The group's members consisted of Hello! Project Kids members Saki Shimizu, Momoko Tsugunaga, Miyabi Natsuyaki, Chinami Tokunaga, Maasa Sudo, Yurina Kumai, and Risako Sugaya; Maiha Ishimura left the group in 2005.
Momoko Tsugunaga is a former Japanese singer, actress, and radio personality. Tsugunaga joined Hello! Project as a member of Hello! Project Kids at the age of 10 and later became part of the girl groups Berryz Kobo and Buono! Following Berryz Kobo's hiatus, she became the playing manager of Country Girls. In 2017, Tsugunaga retired from entertainment to become a kindergarten teacher.
Risako Sugaya is a former Japanese singer and actress. She first gained recognition when she joined Hello! Project Kids and later became one of the lead vocalists of the girl group Berryz Kobo from 2004 to 2015.
ZYX was a Japanese idol project group associated with Hello! Project. It was formed by Up-Front Promotion in 2003. Its members consisted of Morning Musume member Mari Yaguchi and Hello! Project Kids members Erika Umeda, Saki Shimizu, Maimi Yajima, Momoko Tsugunaga, and Megumi Murakami. The group remained active until 2004.
Airi Suzuki is a Japanese singer, actress, model, and radio personality associated with Up-Front Works. In 2002, she joined Hello! Project as a member of Hello! Project Kids and later debuted as one of the lead vocalist of the Japanese idol girl group Cute in 2005. Throughout her singing career, Suzuki also became a vocalist for the girl group Buono! From June 2015 onwards, she became an exclusive model for the fashion magazine Ray.
Saki Shimizu is a Japanese former singer. Her career began in 2002 when she passed the audition for Hello! Project Kids, an all-female teen pop group within Hello! Project. She continued to sing in that group and became a part of two smaller groups composed of Hello! Project Kids members, Berryz Kobo and ZYX. She is captain of J-pop band Berryz Kobo.

Cute, was a Japanese girl group associated with Hello! Project and produced by Tsunku. Cute consisted of Maimi Yajima, Saki Nakajima, Airi Suzuki, Chisato Okai, and Mai Hagiwara, who were all members of Hello! Project Kids prior to the group's formation. The original member line-up also consisted of fellow Hello! Project Kids members Megumi Murakami and Erika Umeda, as well as Kanna Arihara, prior to their departure.
Buono! was a subgroup of the Japanese girl groups Berryz Kobo and Cute, formed in 2007 by Up-Front Promotion and associated with Hello! Project. The members consisted of Momoko Tsugunaga and Miyabi Natsuyaki from Berryz Kobo, and Airi Suzuki from Cute. Their vocals were backed by the band Dolce, which formerly went under name Busters! in 2008.

Shugo Chara!, also known as My Guardian Characters, is a Japanese shōjo manga series created by the manga author duo, Peach-Pit. The story centers on elementary school girl Amu Hinamori, whose popular exterior, referred to as "cool and spicy" by her classmates, contrasts with her introverted personality. When Amu wishes for the courage to be reborn as her would-be self, she is surprised to find three colorful eggs the next morning, which hatch into three Guardian Characters: Ran, Miki, and Su.
All for One & One for All! is the first mini album by Hello! Project unit H.P. All Stars, released on December 1, 2004 in both a normal and limited edition, the limited edition having a different cover. It reached a peak of #5 on the daily Oricon charts, lasting 7 weeks. The concept behind the song was to show the fans appreciation and celebrate Hello! Project's seventh anniversary, whilst sending a message of peace.
