Laxmikant–Pyarelal were an Indian composer duo, consisting of Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar (1937–1998) and Pyarelal Ramprasad Sharma . They composed music for about 750 Hindi movies from 1963 to 1998, working for almost all notable filmmakers, including Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, Shakti Samanta, Manmohan Desai, Yash Chopra, K. Balanchander, Boney Kapoor, J. Om Prakash, Raj Khosla, L V Prasad, Subhash Ghai, Mahesh Bhatt, K Viswanath and Manoj Kumar.
Bama Vijayam is a 1967 Indian Tamil-language comedy film directed by K. Balachander. The film features an ensemble cast including Sowcar Janaki, Rajasree, Kanchana, Jayanthi, Sachu, R. Muthuraman, Nagesh, Major Sundarrajan, Srikanth and T. S. Balaiah. It revolves around a man's three daughters-in-law who go to absurd lengths to impress an actress who becomes their neighbour.
Satyam Sivam is a 1981 Indian Telugu-language action film, produced by D. Venkateswara Rao under the Eeswari Creations banner and directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. The film stars N. T. Rama Rao, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Sridevi, Rati Agnihotri and music composed by Chakravarthy. The film is a remake of the Hindi film Suhaag (1979).
Shavukaru (transl. Businessman) is a 1950 Indian Telugu-language drama film directed by L. V. Prasad. The film was produced by Nagireddy and Chakrapani under the Vijaya Productions banner as their maiden production. It stars N. T. Rama Rao in his first leading role after having a brief appearance as a police officer in the film Mana Desam (1949), along with debutant Janaki too in her first leading role. The music composed by Ghantasala.
Manchi Kutumbam is a 1968 Indian Telugu-language drama film co-written and directed by V. Madhusudhana Rao. The film stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Sowcar Janaki, Kanchana, Krishna and Vijaya Nirmala, with music composed by S. P. Kodandapani. It is a remake of the Hindi film Grahasti (1963) itself based on the American film The Remarkable Mr. Pennypacker (1959). Grahasti was earlier remade into Tamil as Motor Sundaram Pillai (1966).

Parvathi Parameswarulu is a 1981 Telugu-language film starring Chiranjeevi.
Geetha is a 1981 Indian Kannada-language romantic drama film directed by and starring Shankar Nag in lead, alongside Akshatha Rao in title role. The supporting cast features K. S. Ashwath, Ramesh Bhat and Gayathri. Ilaiyaraaja composed the soundtrack and the background score for the film that and was declared a blockbuster musical hit. He went on to re-use four songs from the movie in five different films later. The track "Santhoshakke" from the film became widely popular in Karnataka and is still performed for in concerts and other events.

The film is based on a science fiction plot of a brain transplant. It was remade in Telugu as Seethe Ramudaithe, starring Shankar Nag in his Telugu debut, and in Hindi in 1995 as Diya Aur Toofan.

In 40 years of his career as a director, he directed 49 films, including commercial successes such as Premada Kanike (1976), Shankar Guru (1978), Seetharamu (1979) and Chakravyuha (1983). Widely known for action-oriented movies, he was much sought as a hit-machine.

Kula Puthra is a 1981 Indian Kannada-language film directed by T. R. Ramanna and produced by S. Venkataratnam. The film stars Shankar Nag and Gayatri whilst Dwarakish, Udaykumar and Leelavathi appeared in supporting roles along with Sowcar Janaki in a cameo role. The film was scripted by S. Bhavanarayana, photographed by S. Venkataratnam and had musical score by Satyam.
