Abdul Mu'ti (born 2 September 1968) is an Indonesian academic and politician serving as minister of primary and secondary education since 2024. [1] In 2022,he was elected secretary general of the Muhammadiyah. [2]
Muhammad Amien Rais is an Indonesian politician. He was one of the leaders of the reform movement that forced the resignation of President Suharto in 1998. Amien Rais was the leader of Muhammadiyah,one of the two biggest Muslim organizations in Indonesia,from 1995 to 2000. He was the Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) from 1999 to 2004. During his chairmanship,the MPR passed a series of amendments to the Constitution of Indonesia. These amendments,among other things,established direct presidential elections,a presidential term limit,and the Constitutional Court.
Muhammadiyah;officially Muhammadiyah Society is a major Islamic non-governmental organization in Indonesia. The organization was founded in 1912 by Ahmad Dahlan in the city of Yogyakarta as a reformist socioreligious movement,advocating ijtihad - individual interpretation of Qur'an and Sunnah,as opposed to Taqlid - conformity to the traditional interpretations propounded by the ulama. Since its establishment,Muhammadiyah has adopted a reformist platform mixing religious and secular education,primarily as a way to promote the upward mobility of Muslims toward a 'modern' community and to purify Indonesian Islam of local syncretic practices. It continues to support local culture and promote religious tolerance in Indonesia,while a few of its higher education institutions are attended mostly by non-Muslims,especially in East Nusa Tenggara and Papua provinces. The group also runs a large chain of charity hospitals,and operated 128 universities as of the late 1990s.
Kyai Haji Ahmad Dahlan,often abbreviated to K.H. Ahmad Dahlan,was an Indonesian Muslim religious leader and revivalist,who established the Muhammadiyah organization. Which would become one of the largest Muslim organizations in Indonesia,second only to the Nahdlatul Ulama. Pekalongan Regency is a regency on the north coast of Central Java province in Indonesia. Kelayan Muhammadiyah Mosque is a mosque located in Kelayan B st.,West Kelayan,South Banjarmasin,Banjarmasin,South Kalimantan,Indonesia,and it was built in 1938. The mosque is right next to the tip of Kelayan River. Front side faces Kelayan B street,and back side faces the river. According to H. Syamsuri,one of the board of the Muhammadiyah Mosque,the back side of the mosque once jutted into the river. As such,most of the mosque building is existing on the surface of Kelayan River. Such condition benefits the pilgrims,as during the daily prayers,some pilgrims can use river transport,such as jukung and kelotok to reach there. The water vehicles are parked right next to the mosque on the river side.

Muhadjir Effendy is an Indonesian politician and rector. He was the minister of education and culture of the Republic of Indonesia in the Working Cabinet. He was appointed by President Joko Widodo on 27 July 2016 replacing Anies Baswedan. Effendy was also the Rector of Muhammadiyah University of Malang in Indonesia from 2000 to 2016. Muljadi Djojomartono was an Indonesian politician and military officer who served as Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare between 1960 and 1966 and Minister of Social Affairs between 1957 and 1962 and briefly in 1966. Affiliated with the Islamic organization Muhammadiyah,he had originated in Surakarta and served as a battalion commander in the Defenders of the Homeland organization,which resulted in his participation during the Indonesian National Revolution as an officer in his hometown. He was appointed as a minister by Sukarno despite protestations from his political party and Muhammadiyah,which opposed Muljadi's accommodation of Sukarno's actions.
