Huai Jinpeng (Chinese :怀进鹏; pinyin :Huái Jìnpéng;born December 1962) is a Chinese computer scientist and politician. He is the current Minister of Education, [1] party secretary of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Huai was born in Harbin but traces his ancestry to Jinan,Shandong province. He graduated from Jilin University of Industry (now merged into Jilin University) in 1984. He joined the Chinese Communist Party in January 1986,and began work in September 1987 after obtaining a computer science master's degree at the Harbin Institute of Technology. In November 1993,he earned a doctorate from Beihang University. He also attended Columbia University as a visiting scholar between 1995 and 1996. [2] [3] In December 2000,he was named deputy party chief and vice president of Beihang University. In May 2009,he was promoted to president of the university,obtaining vice-minister level rank and was elected as a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. [4] In 2012,he was awarded the Legion of Honour by the French government for his outstanding contributions to education,science and technology development across China and France. [5]
In February 2015,Huai was named Deputy Minister of Information Technology. In December 2016,Huai was named deputy party chief of Tianjin. In September 2017,Huai was transferred to become party secretary of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST). [6]
On 20 August 2021,he was appointed Minister of Education. [7]
Huai is a deputy to the 12th National People's Congress and a member of the 19th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. [8]

Ma is a member of the Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party.
Wang Menghui is a Chinese politician,and the current Communist Party Secretary of Hubei. Previously he served as Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. Among other roles,he has served as party chief of Xiamen,and party chief of Shenyang.
Wang Yongkang is a Chinese engineer and politician,serving since February 2019 as the Standing Committee member of the CPC Heilongjiang Committee. A doctorate in materials science with a background in China's military manufacturing industry,Wang entered politics in 2001 in the city of Ningbo,working his way up the administrative ladder. He served as the mayor of Yuyao and the mayor and party chief of Lishui,Zhejiang,before being anointed to the Zhejiang provincial party standing committee in 2016. Later he served as the Communist Party Secretary of Xi'an from December 2016 to February 2019.

The Minister of Education of the People's Republic of China is the head of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China and a member of the State Council. Within the State Council,the position is fourth in order of precedence. The minister is responsible for leading the ministry,presiding over its meetings,and signing important documents related to the ministry. Officially,the minister is nominated by the premier of the State Council,who is then approved by the National People's Congress or its Standing Committee and appointed by the president.

The 20th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party,officially the Central Committee of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,comprises 205 members and 171 alternates. It was elected at the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s 20th National Congress on 22 October 2022,and its term lasts until the election of the 21st Central Committee at the 21st National Congress,which is planned for 2027. The Central Committee is the party's highest decision-making body in a given period,is not a permanent body,and convenes for an unspecified number of times.

The 20th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) was elected at the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party on 22 October 2022. At its 1st Plenary Session,the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection nominated its candidates for secretary,deputy secretaries,secretary-general and other members of the 20th CCDI Standing Committee. These were later approved by the 20th Central Committee at its 1st Plenary Session on 23 October 2022.
