Abhinaya is an Indian actress and model who mainly works in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. [1] She is both hearing and speech impaired. [2] [3] She made her acting debut in Naadodigal (2009) and then she has appeared in many Tamil and Telugu films.

Career

Abhinaya was spotted by director Samuthirakani from an ad agency's portfolio while he was on the lookout for a fresh face for his movie Nadodigal . [4] The success of Naadodigal and critical acclaim for Abhinaya's performance led him to cast her in the Telugu remake Shambo Shiva Shambo , while she was signed to play the same role in its Kannada remake Hudugaru as well. She won two Filmfare Awards for her performances in Naadodigal and Shambo Shiva Shambo the following year. She was cast in an important role in Easan (2010) directed by Sasikumar. In 2011, A. R. Murugadoss signed her to play a supporting role alongside Suriya in the film 7aum Arivu . [5]

In 2012, she had three Telugu releases. In Dammu and Dhamarukam she played the sister of Jr. NTR's and Nagarjuna's characters, respectively, [6] while in Genius she played a Muslim character. [7] That year she also got her first lead role in the Telugu film Chandrudu opposite Krishnudu [8] but the film's release has been delayed. She was seen in minor supporting roles as part of an ensemble cast in the Telugu family drama Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (2013) [7] and the Tamil action masala films Veeram (2014) [9] and Hari's Poojai . [10] The Reporter , the first Malayalam film, Abhinaya had signed, [11] released after long delays in 2015. That year also saw her making her Bollywood debut in R. Balki's Shamitabh in a short role.[ citation needed ]

She played a radio jockey in Vizhithiru (2017) [12] and will be seen in Mela Thalam. [7]

Ghajini is a 2005 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by A. R. Murugadoss and produced by Salem Chandrasekharan. The film stars Suriya in the main lead role with Asin as the female lead and Pradeep Rawat as the main antagonist, along with Nayanthara and Riyaz Khan in the supporting roles. The film stars Sasikumar along with Vijay Vasanth and Bharani, while Ananya and Abhinaya made their debut in Tamil and Malaysia-based Shanthini Deva enacting the lead female roles and Ganja Karuppu playing a pivotal role, providing comical relief.

<i>Sambho Siva Sambho</i> 2010 Indian film

Sambho Siva Sambho is a 2010 Indian Telugu-language action drama film directed by Samuthirakani. It stars Ravi Teja, Allari Naresh, Siva Balaji, Priyamani, Abhinaya, and Surya Teja. This film is a remake of the director's 2009 film Naadodigal. And Abhinaya reprising her role from Naadodigal. The film released on 14 January 2010 to mixed responses from critics. Despite mixed reviews, the film performed well as the audience gave a thumbs up and was declared a box office hit. The film was later dubbed in Hindi as Mera Krodh in 2012.

V. Jayaprakash is an Indian actor and producer who works in Tamil and Telugu films. He ventured into film business in the early 2000s as a producer, making several films under his banner GJ Cinema and later turned actor, with Cheran's 2007 film, Mayakannadi.
