Achuni (Persian : اچوني‎, also Romanized as Achūnī; also known as Āchānī)^[1] is a village in Mahyar Rural District, in the Central District of Qaen County, South Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 63, in 19 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Mahyar Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Qaen County, South Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 4,874, in 1,150 families. The rural district has 19 villages.

The Central District of Qaen County is a district (bakhsh) in Qaen County, South Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 62,040, in 16,239 families. The District has two cities: Qaen and Esfeden. The District has three rural districts (dehestan): Mahyar Rural District, Pishkuh Rural District, and Qaen Rural District.
