Acrocephalomyia is a genus of flies in the family Ropalomeridae. It contains three recognized species. [1]
The Lauxaniidae are a family of acalyptrate flies. They generally are small flies with large compound eyes that often are brightly coloured in life, sometimes with characteristic horizontal stripes, such as in Cestrotus species. Many species have variegated patterns on their wings, but in contrast they generally do not have variegated bodies, except for genera such as Cestrotus, whose camouflage mimics lichens or the texture of granitic rocks.
Hybotidae, the typical dance flies, are a family of true flies. They belong to the superfamily Empidoidea and were formerly included in the Empididae as a subfamily.
Paraclius is a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae. It is currently considered a polyphyletic assemblage of species.
Pseudosympycnus is a genus of flies in the family Dolichopodidae. It is distributed in the Neotropical realm.
Hybos is a genus of hybotid flies.
Hybotinae is a globally widespread subfamily of hybotid flies.
The Ropalomeridae are a family of acalyptrate flies.
Euhybus is a genus of flies in the family Hybotidae.
Metatrichia is a genus of window flies in the family Scenopinidae.
Probolaeus is a genus of long-beaked fungus gnats in the family Lygistorrhinidae.
Porphyrochroa is a genus of flies in the family Empididae.
Feuerborniella is a genus of flies belonging to the family Psychodidae.
Philosepedon is a genus of flies belonging to the family Psychodidae.
Acrocephalomyia pulchra is a species of fly in the genus Acrocephalomyia of the family Ropalomeridae.
Acrocephalomyia torulosa is a species of fly in the genus Acrocephalomyia of the family Ropalomeridae.
Acrocephalomyia zumbadoi is a species of fly in the genus Acrocephalomyia of the family Ropalomeridae.
Didicrum is a genus of the family Psychodidae and has a handful of species studied so far. The discovery of this genus in Colombia represents a significant range extension for Didicrum as all previously described species of this genus are distributed in the Australasian region and the southernmost portion of South America.
Oropezella is a genus of flies in the family Hybotidae.
Neohybos is a genus of flies in the family Hybotidae.
