Mathematical Reviews is a journal published by the American Mathematical Society (AMS) that contains brief synopses, and in some cases evaluations, of many articles in mathematics, statistics, and theoretical computer science. The AMS also publishes an associated online bibliographic database called MathSciNet which contains an electronic version of Mathematical Reviews and additionally contains citation information for over 3.5 million items as of 2018.

Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) is a professional society dedicated to applied mathematics, computational science, and data science through research, publications, and community. SIAM is the world's largest scientific society devoted to applied mathematics, and roughly two-thirds of its membership resides within the United States. Founded in 1951, the organization began holding annual national meetings in 1954, and now hosts conferences, publishes books and scholarly journals, and engages in advocacy in issues of interest to its membership. Members include engineers, scientists, and mathematicians, both those employed in academia and those working in industry. The society supports educational institutions promoting applied mathematics.

Finite element exterior calculus (FEEC) is a mathematical framework that formulates finite element methods using chain complexes. Its main application has been a comprehensive theory for finite element methods in computational electromagnetism, computational solid and fluid mechanics. FEEC was developed in the early 2000s by Douglas N. Arnold, Richard S. Falk and Ragnar Winther, among others. Finite element exterior calculus is sometimes called as an example of a compatible discretization technique, and bears similarities with discrete exterior calculus, although they are distinct theories.

Margaret H. Wright is an American computer scientist and mathematician. She is a Silver Professor of Computer Science and former Chair of the Computer Science department at Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University, with research interests in optimization, linear algebra, and scientific computing. She was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 1997 for development of numerical optimization algorithms and for leadership in the applied mathematics community. She was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 2005. She was the first woman to serve as President of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics.

Walter Gautschi is a Swiss-born American mathematician, writer and professor emeritus of Computer science and Mathematics at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. He is primarily known for his contributions to numerical analysis and has authored over 200 papers in his area and published four books.

The SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing (SISC), formerly SIAM Journal on Scientific & Statistical Computing, is a scientific journal focusing on the research articles on numerical methods and techniques for scientific computation. It is published by the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM). Hans De Sterck is the current editor-in-chief, assuming the role in January 2022. The impact factor is currently around 2.

Jinchao Xu is an American-Chinese mathematician. He is currently the Verne M. Willaman Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park. Numerische Mathematik is a peer-reviewed mathematics journal on numerical analysis. It was established in 1959 and is published by Springer Science+Business Media. The journal is indexed by Mathematical Reviews and Zentralblatt MATH. Its 2009 MCQ was 1.06, and its 2020 impact factor was 2.223.

SIAM Journal on Discrete Mathematics is a peer-reviewed mathematics journal published quarterly by the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM). The journal includes articles on pure and applied discrete mathematics. It was established in 1988, along with the SIAM Journal on Matrix Analysis and Applications, to replace the SIAM Journal on Algebraic and Discrete Methods. The journal is indexed by Mathematical Reviews and Zentralblatt MATH. Its 2009 MCQ was 0.57. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2016 impact factor of 0.755.

Electronic Transactions on Numerical Analysis is a peer-reviewed scientific open access journal publishing original research in applied mathematics with the focus on numerical analysis and scientific computing. It is published by the Kent State University and the Johann Radon Institute for Computational and Applied Mathematics (RICAM). Articles for this journal are published in electronic form on the journal's web site. The journal is one of the oldest scientific open access journals in mathematics.

Hans Zanna Munthe-Kaas is a Norwegian mathematician at the University of Bergen, and UiT The Arctic University of Norway working in the area of computational mathematics in the borderland between pure and applied mathematics and computer science.

Validated numerics, or rigorous computation, verified computation, reliable computation, numerical verification is numerics including mathematically strict error evaluation, and it is one field of numerical analysis. For computation, interval arithmetic is used, and all results are represented by intervals. Validated numerics were used by Warwick Tucker in order to solve the 14th of Smale's problems, and today it is recognized as a powerful tool for the study of dynamical systems.

Rémi Abgrall is a French applied mathematician. He is known for his contributions in computational fluid dynamics, numerical analysis of conservation laws, multiphase flow and Hamilton–Jacobi equations. He has been editor in chief of the Journal of Computational Physics since 2015 and is part of the editorial board of several international scientific journals. In 2014 he was invited speaker at the International Congress of Mathematics in Seoul. He is author of more than 100 scientific papers published in international scientific journals. He is editor of 4 books and author of one book on advanced topics concerning computational fluid dynamics, High-resolution scheme and conservation laws.
