Adam Pecorari (born November 28, 1984 in Aston, Pennsylvania) is a former racing driver. Pecorari won races in the USF2000 and later competed in the Atlantic Championship, IMSA Lites and other series.

Racing career

Pecorari was a successful kart racer with the World Karting Association and the International Kart Federation. Pecorari won his first IKF Grand National Championship in 1996. [1] The young driver scored two second places in the WKA championship in 1999 and 2001. [2] Pecorari also competed in the Formula A class at the Junior Monaco Kart Cup.

For 2003 Pecorari joined Andersen Walko Racing in the USF2000 Ford Zetec championship. He scored one podium finish, at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, and finished seventh in the championship standings. Pecorari improved for 2004. The Pennsylvania native won four races, three at Mid-Ohio and another at Road America. He finished third in the championship, behind teammate Andrew Prendeville. Pecorari also made two starts in the Atlantic Championship with Jensen Motorsport. His best result was a ninth place Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Pecorari returned in the Atlantic Championship for one race in 2005, he retired with technical difficulties. [3]

For 2006 Pecorari joined Cape Motorsports in the IMSA Lites L1 class. At Road Atlanta Pecorari won the inaugural event of the series beating John Bender and Duncan Ende. [4] Pecorari went on to win the championship in dominant fashion, winning nine out of ten races. His success in the IMSA Lites prototype class landed him a seat in the American Le Mans Series with Van der Steur Racing in the LMP2 class. [5] Pecorari made his debut for the team at the 2006 Monterey Sports Car Championships. The team, with Pecorari, Gunnar van der Steur and Ben Devlin failed to finish the race. Pecorari returned for the 2007 Northeast Grand Prix. The young driver finished the Radical SR9 in tenth place overall, seventh in class. This was the best result for Pecorari at Van der Steur Racing. At the 2009 Northeast Grand Prix Pecorari and Van der Steur finished fifteenth overall, but third in class.

IMSA Prototype Challenge presented by Mazda is a racing series featuring two classes of single-seat prototype cars racing simultaneously. The series is sanctioned by the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA). Most races are held in support of the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The L1 class features Élan Motorsport Technologies DP02 carbon tub cars powered by a 2.0 L Mazda MZR engine. In 2013 the L2 class switched to the same Elan DP02 tub of the L1, but fitted with the car's previous generation 2.3 L Mazda engine. Each class has an overall championship, a master’s championship for drivers at least 40 years of age, and a team championship. Each race is usually 30–45 minutes.

Formula SCCA

Formula SCCA or Formula Enterprises is a class of open wheel race car sanctioned by the Sports Car Club of America. A spec racing class, all chassis are produced by SCCA Enterprises in association with Van Diemen and include a sealed Mazda MZR powerplant. The chassis can also be fitted with closed-wheel bodywork and converted into a sportscar to race in C Sports Racer or the L3 class of IMSA Prototype Lites. For the 2012 season, the car was also accepted into the U.S. F2000 National Championship's National Class. According to the manufacturer's website, as of March 2010, 120 of the cars have been sold.

Dane Cameron is an American racing driver from Glen Ellen, California. He won the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship overall in 2016 and 2019, and also in the GTD class in 2014.

Trenton Estep American racing driver

Trenton Estep is an American racing driver. Estep grew up racing karts from the age of 4 years old in New Braunfels, Texas. He competed in various karting competitions such as SKUSA Pro Tour, Florida Winter Tour, US Open and Rotax Grand Finals in Portugal. In 2016 he made the transition from karts to open wheel cars. He entered the Formula Tour F1600, Canadian F1600 Super Series and F1600 Championship Series winning two Championships. He also ran in the opening round of the Redbull Global Rallycross Championship in Phoenix Arizona. In 2017 Estep made his transition from open wheel to cars in the North American Porsche GT3 Cup Series, with JDX Racing. Estep finished on podium 11 of 16 races with multiple wins placing 3rd in the Porsche GT3 Cup Championship. In 2018 he returned to the Porsche GT3 Cup series with JDX Racing with renewed sponsorship by Hertz Global along with a new sponsor Byers Porsche of Columbus Ohio.Estep went on to finish on Podium in 14 of 16 races winning the 2018 IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Championship.A final honor to end his season was being chosen by Porsche Motorsports to attend the Porsche Junior Programme Shootout in Le Castellet at Circuit Paul Ricard. Estep was only 1 of 11 and the youngest at age 18 of the top Porsche drivers from all over the world under the age of 25 to receive the exclusive invite.
