Aftabru (Persian : افتابرو‎, also Romanized as Āftābrū)^[1] is a village in Alvir Rural District, Kharqan District, Zarandieh County, Markazi Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 87, in 23 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Alvir Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Kharqan District, Zarandieh County, Markazi Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 3,187, in 1,046 families. The rural district has 12 villages.
