After are an American pop duo formed in 2023 [1] in Los Angeles, California by Graham Epstein and Justine Dorsey.
Their name comes from the 2003 visual novel "After...". [2] They debuted in 2023 with the single, "Something Special", followed by "In a City Called Garden" and "The Dove", released later that year. [3] [4] [5] The duo released three more singles in 2024: "Obvious", "The Element" and "The Story". [6] [7] [8]
On April 4, 2025, the band's first extended play, After EP, was released, preceded by the singles "Obvious", "Ever" and "300 Dreams" that had first gained them attention. [9] After EP 2, the band's second EP, was released later in 2025, under Mom + Pop Music, featuring the singles "Deep Diving" and "Outbound", the former of which bringing them considerable fanfare. [10] The critical reception, however, was less enthusiastic, with Pitchfork rating the EPs 4.5/10. [11]
